It's Not too Late

To get some great deals on Tattered Angels products in the Your Memories Here store!  I have been having such a great time this month playing with these wonderful products and wanted to share another fun technique.  Using your mists as an embossing medium.

For this technique you need to work fast, so have all your materials ready.  You will need your mist, a mask or stamp (for this I used a mask), your paper, embossing powder (I used clear UTEE) and a heat gun.

I began by covering my mask with mist.  You can do this in one of two ways.  Spray your mat with the mist and then add your mask, or mist directly onto your mask.  I chose the later.
Then quickly place the mask ink side down onto your paper.
Remember I mentioned the working fast?  You will want to get the embossing powder on there as quickly as possible as the mist will be drying and absorbing into your paper.
Once the embossing powder is on the image, you can heat.  I love the cool watery texture you get with this technique.
I cut the image from my card stock and added ink before adding it to my layout.  The embossed image makes a great resist.
I hope you have fun with your mists.

Tea Party Tag

I am participating in a tag swap over on the Facebook group "Artsy Addicts". The theme of the swap is Tea Party.

For my tag, I started with a manila cardstock base and colored it with Trunk Bay and Teal High Heal Glimmer Mist. Then I covered the entire tag with white lace and glued it down using Helmar 450 quick dry, because I knew it would dry clear and be undetectable behind the lace.

To embellish the tag I cut out a tea cup shape on my Cricut using SEI papers and decorated my cut with tiny pearls, Prima flowers and the gorgeous crystal swirl resembling steam is Prima e-line crystals.

The lace trim across the bottom of the tag is also Prima.
Hate to post and run but so much to do so little time - I'm sure many of you know how that is :)
Before I go, just wanted to remind you that this is the last week of the Tattered Angels sale so stop by Your Memories Here to save big soon!

Kitty Love... Cats fall in love too!

Good Afternoon!!! I hope everyone had a wonderful Easter! Mine was very low key, spent sleeping since I had worked the overnight shift on Saturday. What did everyone do? I'd love to hear!

I have a layout share today using lots of products that can be found in the YMH Store! This layout uses papers from the SEI Love Birds paper pack ( which is super cheap! ) , a Prima Mask, Tattered Angels Glimmer Mist and some Zapdots by Helmar adhesives. All of these products can be found in the store. I've linked them all up for you!

I used the Prima Mask along with Glimmer Mist to create the flower and swirls in the corner of the layout. The masks are super simple to use and with Glimmer mist look awesome!

The SEI papers are great for love themed layouts regardless of who's in love as you can see. :) Our cats are two love bugs, and the papers look great with the photo!

Helmar Zapdots were used to add dimension to the hearts in the bottom corner as well as the bird in the corner of the photo. YMH Store now carries lots of Helmar adhesives! Be sure to get yourself some!

As you can see below, Serenity, my daughter, loved the layout... she asked that I take this photo of her with it and begged me to share it with you! She really didn't have to beg, I really loved the photo!

I hope you all enjoy the rest of your day! I'll be back next Monday to share another layout I created with this awesome collection! Have a great week!

Pick of the Patch...Easy Masking w/Glimmer Mists!

Happy Easter crafty peeps! I realize it's Easter, but today I am sharing a fall LO of a day spent at the pumpkin patch. I don't always scrap 'in season' but rather what moods suit me and sometimes, you just get so tired of seeing certain colors or themes that are associated with certain holidays. So although this is a fall themed LO, I made sure to use bright summer colors to make it a little more trendy & fun!

Supplies
Letters/Date Spot/Fall Sticker - Making Memories
Punches - Stampin' Up, Martha Stewart
Adhesives - Glue Glider Pro, Aileen's Fast Grab Tacky Glue
Distress Ink (walnut stain) - Tim Holtz
Bingo Card/Chipboard Butterflies/White Mat/Pen - Stash

I love upcycling & the kraft cardstock was Prima transparency packaging in a former life. After trimming it to a 12x12 size, I laid some chipboard butterflies down & used my TA Chalkboard Glimmer Mists to spritz them. After removing them, I had the fun masking effect & then I just traced & cut a few of the same butterflies to add some more dimension. You can use any item, found or purchased, to mask with & don't be afraid to use fun things like mesh, tape, bubble packaging and more. Just try something new & fun!!

Thanks so much for stopping by & checking out my project! If you'd like some more info., feel free to hop on over to my blog HERE & visit...would love to see ya there! And don't forget that this is the last week you can get some amazing Tattered Angels products at super fab prices in the YMH Store...so chekc it out HERE! Happy Craftin'!!

Owl's it going?

This has been an odd week for me. No mojo on the nights I can craft in my space and mojo on the nights I can't. Nothing bad is going on, just been an odd week. The biggest downer is that I have three images colored and ready for some card. The same three images that have been colored and waiting for going on two weeks now. They are now waiting with some patterned paper and cardstock so they are closer to complition, lol. Our district ended up with a bad weather make-up day yesterday and my hubby had it off :( On the plus side, I did get to create for ya'll last night. For today's YMH project I went with a quick card using some Tattered Angles chipboard and mist (don't forget about the TA sale going on at YMH). I watered down some paint and painted it over the sponged and misted owl to give it some more personality. I really like how the little guys belly turned out too. The eyes were small half chocolate half pearls.

Last Weekend of Misty April

Hi everyone and TGIF! What a wonderful Good Friday it is. I'm so excited to be celebrating Easter Sunday with my family. I even have my family from the Pittsburgh area coming to stay with us. Holidays are just so special when you can share them with all of your loved ones.
This is the last weekend of April and that means the last week to SAVE BIG on ALL Tattered Angels products at Your Memories Here.
We just received another shipment of mists and glazes this morning so there are more colors in stock :)
I hope you have a beautiful weekend wherever in the world you are!
Hugs,

Mini Book with Prima

Hello again crafty friends. I made this mini book for my sister in law Darcey. She's been a great friend to me over the years and I love my niece and nephew very much.
She has started to scrapbook and has what I think a natural talent for it. I want her to finish the book with the title on the cover and other page titles and journaling.
The Prima paper set Madeline is a fave of mine and it is so easy to work with because it all goes together beautifully.
I used pink and blue Prima flowers. There is also some Bling and Lace too.
I used Tattered Angels Glimmer Mist in Wheatfields to grunge it up just a little bit.
I hope you are inspired to create a mini book. They are so much fun.

Go check out yourmemorieshere.com and SHOP! There are LOTS of pretty things there!
I better post this before I get kicked off again.
See ya next week!

More Misty

Hi everyone, Nancy here in the midst of lots of mist...coming from the sky....and from the gorgeous bottles of Tattered Angels that are on sale this month in the Your Memories Here store.

I love playing with different textures and color combinations, so for this project I cut some canvas with my Sizzix and a favorite flower die.

I added some contrasting glimmer mists.

And I attached it to a card I had misted using one of the gorgeous masks (also on sale) and added a Prima Butterfly and some Prima Lace.

And off my card went to a special friend.

Hope you are having a great day!

Hugs.

Crafty Home Decor

Hello and Happy Tuesday everyone! It's a soggy day here, perfect for staying in and working on something crafty.
Today I wanted to share with you a lamp shade that I made for my daughter's bed room. Do you remember Lilee's Ladybug room?
Well she needed a new lamp shade to match because her old one had farm animals on it :)
So I bought a plain white shade and dressed it up using red with black polka dot ribbon.

I glued the strips of the ribbon using Helmar 450 quick dry, covering the entire shade in ribbon.
Then I took a white Prima flower and sprayed it with Dazzling Diamonds Glimmer Mist and glued it along with a Prima leaf to the lamp shade.
I finished it off with a yellow button center that I glammed up with some yellow Stickles and a cute ladybug button.

Lilee just loves it and that makes me happy! I love when I can make things for my kids and they appreciate it. I know someday they are going to prefer "store bought" like all their friends have, so I'll enjoy them wanting 'Mom to make it' for as long as I can :)

Jewelry Tray with Tattered Angels

Hello! Today I have a tray that I created for my jewelry using a small wooden tray, some papers, mod podge and lot's of Tattered Angels products! All month long we are celebrating Tattered Angels products here on the blog and over at the store! There is a fabulous sale on all Tattered Angels products right now, so be sure to get your hands on some while you can! Also, a little birdie told me that there will be more Tattered Angels products posted very soon!!!

For this tray, I took an old wooden puzzle holder that was left behind from a kids puzzle that we threw away. It worked perfectly for this project.

I first sanded down the entire tray. This made it so my gesso would stick better to the wood. After it was sanded, I primed the tray with white gesso. I used two coats of the gesso. After it had dried, I sprayed Glimmer Mist in Patina and Blue Skys all over the tray and used my heat gun to dry it. One thing that is great about Glimmer Mists is how you can mix the colors together. They mix very well.

Once I had dried the mist, I adhered patterned paper to the center of the tray and around the edges of the tray as well using Mod Podge. I then used the Mod Podge to seal the paper onto the tray. Once the adhesive had dried I used Glimmer Glaze to add a coat of glimmer to the entire tray. This tray is is full of glitz and color. The photos do not do it justice. If you see it in person you can see how much it does glimmer in the light.

I threw on some jewelry so you can see how it looks when in use. I now have it sitting on top of my dresser. I don't have a jewelry box, so this works perfectly for holding my favorite pieces that I wear on a daily basis.

I hope you've enjoyed my share for the day! I'll see you next week for another project with Your Memories Here and some Tattered Angels products!!!

Canvas Dreams

I've got a quick post for you today and I am sorry about that. I've been up all night finished a book that I just couldn't put down, ,lol.

I love being inspired by Donna Downey and decided to take a chance and try out one of her inspiration videos. I had some hardback canvas around and decided to take that chance now. I decided to use some TA stamps (YMH has a sell going on with all TA products) to reinforce my sentiment. I also used some Prima bling and flowers in the lower corner to give it a little something extra. I really like how that corner ended up looking too. I glued the flowers on with one of my new favorite adhesives: Helmar's 450 quick dry.

Love Wall Hanging

Hello crafty friends! I was finally able to use Blogger today. It's been fighting with me for a couple weeks. Hopefully we've come to a truce. This project was made out of burlap and an embroidery hoop.
I used Prima lace, flowers, journal card, leaves, and embellishments. I love how beautiful the flowers are. This picture of my sister in law and niece is one of my faves. If she lets me keep it I know where I'm going to put it.
I used Tattered Angels mask and glimmer mist in vanilla breeze, tattered leather and creme de chocolat. I used light coats until I was happy with the color. It makes a pretty shimmer even on the burlap. I painted on the little white flowers with the vanilla breeze to soften the stark white.
I just love how pretty and sparkly it is. Perfect for the two of them!
Please go over to yourmemorieshere.com and see all the pretties available to you at great prices. I hope you all have a great day. I know I am enjoying the sunshine!
