Too Much Purple?

I think I may have gotten a little out of control with the purple on this card. It started with the background, a piece of card stock I had been playing around with testing out my homemade glimmer mist. I embossed it with my Cuttlebug D'vine swirls folder. Then I had some extra top notes cut from the winter album I had just made earlier this week. I embossed those too, this time with the Swiss Dots Cuttlebug folder. I stamped the smaller one on the reverse side and then clear embossed it (I just love the way it makes it look "slick")
I layered it on the other one with some pop dots for more dimension. The purple swirly ribbon was from my stash and I thought it complemented the swirl embossed background.
The ribbon bow is made up of a few fibers and ribbons gathered together. I made the hat pin/stick pin (whatever you call 'em) a while ago and have been dying to use one somewhere on a project :)

Introducing...Love Struck

Hello YMH friends!
It's Thursday, which means we're getting closer to the weekend! Yay! Today I have a couple of projects using the 2010 Limited Edition Cricut Cartridge... Love Struck. Ohhhh myyyyy Gooooooodness! Did you get yours during Kristina's Pre-sale? She had an amazing price on this cart so I'm glad many of you jumped on it :) This is a FABULOUSLY beautiful cart. It comes with 27 images & four 3-D projects. Let me give you a few peeks of what I whipped out speedy quick with my Cricut E.

Here's one of my favorite projects included in this cart---> a mailbox! I couldn't stop there so I created a matching card.

Here are the projects individually:
The mailbox:

I used some Prima flowers (Sweet & Sassy- clueless and Bitty Bags) to decorate it. See the word "Love"... it's one of the images on this cart :) You can fill it with loads of goodies. With the Cricut E, you can make it whatever size your heart desires and making multiples is quick, easy, & inexpensive.

The matching card:

See the word "Flirt"... this too, is one the images on this cart :)

Here's the same card with another image (just in case matchy-matchy isn't your thing :)

For this card, I added a primary (red) dew drop in the center of the heart.

I hope you're inspired to be Love Struck too! For more pics & deets, feel free to visit my blog.
Thanks for peeking!

Coaster Calander Page

Here is my July coaster page from my coaster calander I made for a gift. I used my Cricut Expressions to cut the circle at 4 inches. I used the George and Basic Shapes cartridge for the circle. The blue embossed flower is a Prima embossed flower. The little pink leaf is a pink dew drop. The center of the flower is a pearl. It is from the E. by Prima collection.

Post- it- Holder

Here is a Post-it-Holder I made with the 5x7 acrylic frames. I used the Cuttlebug embossing folders for the base. I used the Cricut for my cuts and added the Prima Flower from the Bitty Bag collection and a Dew Drop that I colored with a Sharpie pen. And I used my brand new Easter Cricut cartridge for the border cut.

Winter Themed Album

Here's my entry for the winter themed contest :) *just kidding, I'm not eligible. But I still wanted to share some of my ideas with you.
I made this shape album out of chipboard that I cut on my Cricut (with the deep cut blade and housing) and then covered with some non-traditional colored Christmas patterned paper. It is just under 6"x6" so that I could get 4 cuts out of one sheet of 12"x12" paper. I have the SVG file for it to share with you too.
I used my Bind-it-All to bind it and then decorated the wires with various ribbons.

The cover isn't finished yet, cuz I'm not sure what I want to put on it yet.

I used my Cricut for all the cuts, some are from cartridges (the snowflakes are from "when it's cold outside winter mini 09) and some are from SCAL. I glittered up the snowflake with stickles and stamped the snowflakes on the photo mat with the Imaginsce "believe" stamp (there's a snow flake in the set) There's also a lot of stickles on the second page.

The snowflake on this page is also from the winter mini cartridge and the mat is SCAL which I embossed with the Cuttlebug D'vine swirls folder. That cute little snow man is from the Doodle Charms cartridge and I added a little bit of frosted stickles to him to make him look a little shimmery.
The ornament adorning this photo mat is from the Christmas Cheer cartridge that I cut first with black out (patterned paper) then in shadow. The photo mat on the opposite page is a Sizzix frame (I can't believe I still have a use for those!)

More SCAL cuts on these pages along with a tree cut from the Christmas Cheer cartridge using the rounded square feature. I blinged up both pages with some adhesive pearls and stickles.

More SCAL cuts again on this page and on the opposite page I embossed the photo mat with the Cuttlebug Swiss dots folder, then I rubbed a little ink over top the dot to bring them out more. The "jingle all the way" is a stamp and I added some silver embossing powder to the bells. The pink frame was a gift (I got a whole set of them from a friend, thanks Steph)

The back cover, nothing exciting here. Just some patterned paper and a ribbon strip.
Here's that SVG file for the album I promised you.
I need to make a correction, it is NOT an SVG file but actually an scut. Sorry about the mixup. If anyone needs it to be an SVG I will try and make one for you.

Share YOUR Memories Here

January's theme for the Share YOUR Memories Here contest is: Winter
Not too difficult, right? And this is what you'll be playing for:

This kit contains 6 sheets of double sided patterned paper, a sheet of snow fun stickers, a sheet of snow-y words stickers, 1 yard of ribbon and 2 snow fun die cuts.
Visit Your Memories Here to see all the scrapbook kits we have.

For contest rules click here or scroll down for the previous post.

Show Us YOUR Memories

I was thinking that I wanted to add a fun feature to interact more with our followers. Then it hit me{ you're so going to say "well, duh"} The name of my store and blog is Your Memories Here, because I think everyone should share their memories instead of just storing them in a photo album. {here comes the "duh" part} Why don't I have you share YOUR memories here as a monthly contest?
Here's how it will work:
I've added a Mcklinky to the right side bar (see it over there?) and at the beginning of every month I'll announce what the theme is. You will have 2 weeks to post a link to your scrapbook project that includes that theme.
The only rule for your project is it has to be a scrapbook page/project (any size-mini album to 12"x12") and it has to be relevant to the theme.
Post your direct link (if I have to go looking for it, it won't count) I'll pick a winner and post it the following Saturday.
It gets better, the winner gets a prize! One teeny little catch - you have to be a follower to win the prize.
Sound like fun?
I'll be posting the theme and the prize you'll be playing for in a little bit.

Playing in the Rain Card

HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!! I hope your 2010 is even better than the last year!

Samantha here, bringing you a friendly card!

This card was inspired by the Two Lips Tear Drops. The Two Lips set of Dew Drops contains clear and red dew drops only, but since they looks like raindrops to me, I used alcohol ink to dye the Clear dew drops BLUE!! And now they are cute little raindrops :O)

YMH also sells an assortment of blue dew drops too!

For my blue cardstock, I used the D'vine Swirls Cuttlebug Embossing Folder, which can also be purchased at YMH, click here to see the assortment of Cuttlebug products!

Winter Fun

A fun wintery LO for you today:) I used many fun products on my LO that can be found at Your Memories Here. The Cricut cartridge I used was Lyrical Letters, aren't those penguins cute? I also used some pretty Silver Bells Dew Drops and a lovely Cuttlebug embossing border folder. I have been hoarding this strip of felt die cut ribbon and thought that even though it's flowers, I could get away using it on a winter LO since my main color was red. I hope you are having some fun winter days and be sure to stop by Your Memories Here!

Pink Love Layout from Samantha

Hi everyone, Samantha here! I have a layout to share with you today!

This is a layout I made of my puppy, Emma when she was younger. In the top photo you can just make out the little white leg splint from when her leg was broken (now her leg is perfect).

I made this layout with some of the supplies I received from Your Memories Here as part of the design team, PRIMAS!! Gotta love 'em!!!
The Cricle was made with the Cricut Expression with the Accent Essentials cartridge. The "Pink" letters were made from the Cricut Pink Journey cartridge, and the "Love" part of the title is from the Cricut Alphalicious cartridge.

I have more details of my layout on my blog here: http://thescrapmaster.blogspot.com/2009/12/pink-love-layout.html

Gingerbread Cookies

Last year my mom and I started the annual tradition of baking gingerbread cookies with my kids, and they sure love it! They really started to get into this year:) For my LO I used quite a few Cricut cuts. The tittle is cut using Don Juan and Opposites Attract. The adorable little gingerbread house, snowflakes and trees are from Christmas Cheer and the little heart is from Lyrical Letters. Be sure to stop by Your Memories Here for all your scrappy needs and with Christmas being just 4 days away you can do a little gift shopping for yourself ;) Thanks so much for stopping by, I hope you have a wonderful day!

Christmas Layout

Here's a festive layout Samantha made for the Just Buggin' blog. The challenge is to use your Cricut to make a layered cut. She used her Cricut and Ashlyn's Alphabet to cut out the title. Samantha's tip: use the shadow feature for your letters to make an interesting layered title. She also used the Pebbles Christmas Snapshots stickers for the "photo" collage on the left side of the page and a beautiful green Prima Obsessions flower along with a tear drop (two lips) for the center.

Christmas Candle Set

These are such a great gift idea!
Leah made these candles (well, decorated them) and the beautiful box to give them in. She used her Cricut for most of the cuts on the box. If you really like it, let her know and maybe she'll do a tutorial for us ;) If you click on her name it will take you to her blog where she has another one of these boxes for you to take a peek at.

Are you Ready For Spring?

I'm not either. But I feel I need to address an issue about the new spring mini cartridges from Cricut. Apparently there was an information leak and images about these new cartridges has been distributed. I received an "official" email from Provo Craft telling it's retailers that we are not to advertise, sell or place orders until December 17th. They won't even be shipping until the end of the month. So I will not be placing any pre-orders until December 17th, because:
A) what's the point if I can't place the order with PC until Dec 17, why hold on to your money any longer than I need to ?
B) I'm not willing to risk getting in trouble with the fine people at Provo Craft over a couple of cartridges.
and C) they are SPRING cartridges, it's still December, sure there is a "love struck" cartridge geared toward Valentine's Day but that's still in February. We've got plenty of time. However they are limited edition, so I guess December 17th is an Okay order date :)
If you have any questions about this please email me at Krissy @ yourmemorieshere . com *take out the spaces
