Happy Halloween

Hi everyone, Happy Halloween!  Nancy here today to share with you a couple of little treat bags I made for a few "special" trick-or-Treaters tonight.
I cut the bag out of some Tim Holtz Kraft Core cardstock with my Cricut machine and then embossed it using my Big Shot.  A couple of vintage digital images accented with stickles, bits of seam binding dyed with Glimmer Mist, and of course some simple Prima Wildflowers and a doily finished my bags.
If only I had time to make 100 or so more I could give them out to all the trick-or-treaters tonight.  I think these two are saved for some special children I know will be dropping by.

your JOURNEY is like no other

Good morning! Emily here with a miniature canvas I made using more of the Prima Firefly collection. This collection has lasted me quite some time, and not only that, but had created lot's of projects!! After I am completely finished with this collection, I will do a round up of all I have created with it. I just want to show everyone how much you can create from this collection. And there is still a lot of stuff left for me to use! That's the part that I love!

After I made the canvases for Serenity's room, I had some smaller canvas board pieces lying around that were excess from the originals that I cut down. I thought they would make cute mini canvases to hang in her room.

Lots of Glimmer Mist was used to color the canvas and the Glimmer Chip frame in the center. The Glimmer Chips that I used are no longer available in the store, however, if they are still available to purchase from the manufacturer, Kristina would be happy to order you some if you shoot her an message via the CONTACT page on the store site. : ) Items not in stock can be special ordered if needed.

I've been in a shimmery, sparkly mood with my projects these days, if you haven't noticed. :) I love all of the glimmer this canvas has! Even the trim has glimmer!

Products from the store used in today's canvas. (some may not be currently in stock. If they are not, please contact Kristina to see if they can be special ordered.)

Wall Hanging - Faber-Castell Gelatos

Hi YMH fans!  Dana here today sharing a wall hanging.  The pumpkin patch that we visit every year also has a giant field of sunflowers.  I took this photo of my daughter smelling one of the few flowers that were within her reach.  I love this picture so much that I decided to make a fall-themed wall hanging.

The base of my hanging is a corrugated album page.  I added modeling paste in random areas and used my Faber-Castell Gelatos in Coconut, Lemon, Gold Champagne, Tangerine, Mint and Chocolate to add some color.  Instead of using water to wet the Gelatos, I used Tattered Angels Mist in Pearl.  If you'd like to learn more about creating a similar background for your project, this fabulous video tutorial by Lynne Forsythe is a must see!

All of the patterned papers I used on this piece are Prima Freebies from My Prima Place Volume 3.  I added some new Prima embellishments from my Grab Bag to finish the hanging.  Thanks so much for stopping by today!  If you haven't stopped by the Your Memories Here Store be sure to check them out.  The Prima Grab Bags are a wonderful value if you're looking for a great mix of Prima products at a great price. Pick one up before they're gone for good!

Supplies: Corrugated Album Page: Want 2 Scrap; Paper: Prima; Flower: Prima; Bottle Cap Charm: Prima; Pin: Prima; Modeling Paste: Blick; Gelatos: Faber-Castell; Mist: Tattered Angels; Ink: Ranger; Other: Lace, Twine

dog tired using Nantucket by Pink Paislee

It's Ashley here sharing a layout this week. We're having one last burst of warm weather this week so I thought it'd be appropriate to use up the last bits of my Nantucket line by Pink Paislee. I love the colors in this collection & they were great to use to document a trip to the beach we took this summer. I inked the edges of the background paper with antique linen distress ink.

It was our dog's first trip to the beach & although he had to stay on the leash, we were able to swim with him. He was so tired from all the excitement & swimming that he immediately fell asleep on the ride back to the inn.

I also added some Prima center kisses. They seemed to match the colors of Nantucket too well not to. You can get these for $1.99 in the store right now!

Thanks for stopping by! Hope you're enjoying your week.

Light Me Up

Hi everyone, Nancy here!  Today I wanted to share with you a bit of home decor for Halloween.  I have had a little night light lamp for years, and although I love the shabby chic shade it came with, I felt the need to do something more festive for Halloween.  Of course, having some old chandelier shades lying around the house and some gorgeous goodies from my Your Memories Here grab bag didn't have anything to do with this spark of creativity.  lol

I began with the old chandelier shade that I misted with a bit of Glimmer Mist in Pumpkin Spice to change the color and add a bit of sparkle.  I then added bits of lace and trim as well as some beautiful Prima blossoms and bit of bling, how easy is that?
Do not use hot glue for this project!  I know it seems like it would be the perfect adhesive, but when the lamp heats up the glue will soften and your beautiful goodies may fall off.  I really like Helmar Quick Dry for these types of projects.
Well, everyone here just loves this shade and I hope you do to.  Now my youngest is encouraging me to make one for each holiday.  Good thing these types of shades come in packs of 5.  hee hee

Thanks for dropping by.

Hugs.

Love is the Beauty of the Soul - Canvas

Hi fellow crafters! I hope you are all having more sun in your area than we are here. It has been raining since last night with very few breaks. It's Emily, and  I have a canvas to share with you that I finished up just last night. I was wanting to take the photos earlier, but had to wait for a break in the rain. I finally got it! Hooray!

I'm still working with my Prima Firefly Collection from the store and CHA Summer, that I absolutely adore!! I feel like I really got my money's worth out of this collection! It really makes me think of paintings when I look at the papers.
Here is the canvas I have been working on. I wanted to have the painted on feel. The entire background of the canvas is covered in the Firefly papers. I added my own painting with mists, paints, acrylics and modeling paste to blend them together.

Now I just need to figure out where in the house to hang it. Or who to gift it to! :)

One of the papers I used for the background had that beautiful rose on it that you see in the bottom right hand corner. I did NOT want to lose it in the piece, so I used acrylics, paste and mists to give it more depth.

Your Memories Here Supplies Used:

Additional Supplies:
Glimmer Screens: Fanciful Stencils
Glimmer Mist: Grape Ape Chalkboard
Liquitex Modeling Paste
Ranger Alcohol Ink
StazOn Ink
Creative Inspirations Paint
Shimmerz Paint
Acrylic Paint
Sketch pen
Tissue Paper

I hope you have enjoyed my canvas, and get some inspiration from it for the rest of your week. Have a fantastic day and rest of your week!

Winning at the Fair

Hey everyone Heather here. You know those over priced stuffed animals you want your guy to win for you at the fair? Yeah...that's what this page is about. It really is all about the small things you guys. :)

Here's a close up of the Prima goodies I used. Isn't that popcorn charm to die for? When I first saw it I thought: movies! I'll do a page about my favorite movie...but then when I started this page and saw how well it matched the flowers I thought popcorn reminded me of the fair too. :)

Thanks for looking you guys! Please head over to the Your Memories Here Store and have a look around, we've got some great stuff!

Peace & love.

Celebrating Retirement

Happy saturday! Sue here to share with you a card I created for one of our MD's that will be retiring soon using products purchased from Your Memories Here. I just love these new Glitz "Cashmere Dame"  paper pack I recently purchased through Kristina. I chose it specifically with the particular MD in mind. I love the Chic feel it reflects in this layout. In addition, I also chose a beautiful felt rose adhered with Helmar glue, Prima pearl adhesives, trinket and gold leaf all from Prima Grab Bags I purchased a while back.  There are so many fabulous embellishments along with some terrific papers that assist the crafter in creating some lovely projects! In addition, I purchased separately some adorable cream colored lace ribbon to complete the card. I used some black CS to give it an elegant feel and the Prima press alphabet stamped sentiment is elevated on some Helmar adhesive squares. I added some sparkle with a touch of a Spica gold pen over top of a Prima chalked ink edge. Lastly, I used my scallop edge punch for a finishing touch. Go check out the store and pick up some today to create some fabulous lasting memories!! Thanks for looking!!

Mixed Media Album Kit - Live With Prima

Hi YMH fans!  Dana here today sharing one of my new favorite projects. I purchased a Live With Prima Mixed Media Album Kit from Your Memories Here and had a lot of fun altering the front and back covers!  Jamie Dougherty leads the class and does a fabulous job helping me to create my beautiful mixed media masterpiece using art mediums, resins, flowers and resist canvas shapes! This album contains 50 pages of kraft cardstock with leather binding, a bronze knob, printed canvas cover and cream twined rope.

The gorgeous heart with wings resin pieces, the large pink Bravo flowers and the wood envelope are some of my favorite embellishments and they are all included in this kit!

I embellished the back cover with modeling paste, gesso, paint, ink and a Prima stencil.  Once that was dry I covered both the back and front covers with a light coat of Tattered Angels Mist in Iridescent Gold to add a subtle shimmer.

If you're looking for a special album for yourself or a gift, visit the Live With Prima section of the Your Memories Here Store.  The kits have been restocked and are priced to sell! I have a lot of embellishments left over that I will be able to use on the pages of this album or on other projects.  I completed altering the covers of this album in about 30 minutes, so if you don't have the time to travel for a scrapbook class, the Live With Prima series is a wonderful alternative. Thanks for stopping by today!

Supplies: Album Kit: Prima; Distress Ink: Ranger; Mist: Tattered Angels; Modeling Paste: Blick; Gesso: Golden; Paint: Ranger, Martha Stewart, Creative Imaginations; Stencil: Prima

So Lovely - Grab bags

Hi everyone!  Nancy here today to share with you a project I made using a Prima grab bag from Your Memories Here.  I love that each grab bag has a number of different products in it from an assortment of the latest Prima lines.
Here I started with a base from the Zephyr line that I distressed using the Prima Comfort Craft Distress Tool.  I also added a bit of gesso to my page with the help of a Prima mask.  I used a brick mask, but how cute would the polka dots have been.....
a few flowers, beads, trinkets, a banner, bling, and other baubles...
 and my clusters came together.
With a mix of items from both the Zephyr line and other goodies from the latest Prima release this project came together quickly.  And, there are still grab bags and complete collections available in the Your Memories Here store, so grab one for yourself today.

Hugs.

Just Dream

Good afternoon friends! Emily here with a card I made using goodies from the Your Memories Here store. I originally wanted to share a canvas that I have been working on, however I was not able to finish it in time to share with you today, so I made a quick card using more of the Prima Firefly collection which you can get in the store for just $24.99! A fantastic deal for a whole collection.

I used some Glimmer Mists in Trunk Bay  and Grape Ape Chalkboard over all of the papers before crumpling them up and sanding the edges and some of the creases with sandpaper. The chipboard word is from the Firefly Collection Chipboard pieces included in the bag of goodies you can get in the store. There are a few other words as well.

And another look:

Thanks for stopping by! I'll see you next week with my canvas!!

Birthday Card

Hi everyone! Heather here with a card to share. In my opinion it's always good to have some birthday cards on hand....someone's birthday is always popping up and a handmade card can mean so much.

This card was actually pretty simple and quick to make...which I like. I started by layering a few different Prima papers and tags...distressing the edges with Distress Ink for a little bit of a grunge look. I added a few Prima flowers in the corner and finished by adding some Stickles to the edges for just a little bit of bling. That's it! All ready to make someone's special day even better.

Thanks for looking :)

Peace & love.
