Happy Sunday everyone! I hope you are having a beautiful fall day like we are here in Oklahoma! Today I wanted to share with you a layout that is mostly made out of recycled (or upcycled) items & scraps. The photo was taken at the end of a weekend trip hubby & I went on recently & the rainbow was the perfect end to a perfect trip. I love using up my stash & I hate throwing anything away! I am big on "green" wherever & whenever you can, even in my crafting, & wanted to show you how easy it can be!
The base for this LO is entirely
Prima packaging! It is the backing that came with a 12x12 transparency & I simply flipped it over, trimmed it to size, inked the edges & spritzed it with
Tattered Angels Glimmer Mist & Glimmer Glam. This was my first time using the
Glimmer Glam & I gotta say that I love it! It leaves a brighter, bolder color & shimmer that I
really like. I also used some more
Prima packaging for the background the
Prima flowers & yellow
Prima lace are on, and also edged it with some ink. The other recycled/upcycled item is the vintage dictionary page...which I thought was just perfect for this page with its definitions of thunder! Everything else is scraps from other projects, including that lovely
Prima lace at the top of the page...really take a look at all your packaging & leftover scraps before tossing them out.
Prima especially makes lovely reusable packaging & not only could you make a gorgeous project, you can feel good about it afterward!!
