Live with Prima Class and Kit Today

Hey all, Kristina here. I promise to be back later today with a project that I actually made myself :) But I've been super busy getting ready for Thanksgiving and making treats for my girls to take to school today for their "Thanksgiving Share" parties. But I do have something to share with you, it's a beautiful Art Tray Display by Nic Howard. She made this for the next Live With Prima class today at 4:00pm PST (that's 7:00 pm EST for those who live in my time zone)
All the items are included in the class kit for this project are listed on the product details page at YMH. All of these Prima products are included in the kit:









But that's not all, there are also papers, note cards, a stamp and a chipboard alphabet. That's a lot of stuff! After you've made the project shown, just think of all the other things you could make with the remaining items! Hopefully you'll be able to catch the show later, but if you can't make it for the live class you can always watch the recording later.

Flower Wreath

Do you have a ton of Prima flowers? Well, they make great wreath cards and are quick too! I just arranged them in a circle and layered a few with a smaller flower and then a dew drop. Create a Blessings Board!

Hey y'all! I am back & this time I'm really shaking it up a bit by going out of my comfort zone! This week I am gonna share with you an easy to create Blessings Board featuring some yummy products from the Your Memories Here Store. Not only this is a great decor item for Thanksgiving, you can also change it out a little as far as the background goes to make it suitable for Christmas Blessings, Spring Blessings, etc. All you need for this scrappy little project is an old frame, a little spray paint, hot glue, some scrap fabric, vintage buttons, Prima pearls & bling, & some amazing Tattered Angels Glimmer Mist & Glam. The great about this project is also that it is a great one for recycling...items you can repurpose from around the house or pick up at your local thrift store.

I started with an old framed print - I took it apart & spray painted it a lovely yellow with some Krylon I had in my stash, but that I picked up for $2 at Hobby Lobby. Next, I used some Tattered Angels Glimmer Glam in Copper to rub in the crevices & add a little sparkle, as well as depth. While that was drying, I used some lovely blue glassine paper from Martha Stewart (picked up for $1 @ Hobby Lobby awhile back) to cover the cardboard & simply used tape to adhere so it would be easy to change out when I'm ready. Next, I gathered up scrap fabric & ribbon, then simply rolled them into rosettes while hot gluing along the way. After the rosettes were done, I gave them a good spritz of Tattered Angels Glimmer Mist in Pearl & then added some Prima pearls, Prima crystals, & vintage buttons from my stash. I adhered the rosettes with hot glue to the frame (after reassembling it & adding the glass back in, of course) and then spritzed some Martha Stewart (picked these up for 50 cents last year!) leaves with some more Tattered Angels Glimmer Mist in Sand & Fall Breeze. I adhered those with hot glue as well, tied on a pretty ribbon, & hung it in my newly painted hall below THIS PROJECT of me & the hubby. Easy peasy my peeps!

Now, I can simply write on the glass with a dry erase marker & wipe it away whenever I want to change it! I love having this where I can always see it...making me that much more aware of how much I truly have to be thankful for...as well, it makes it easy to write down a blessing as soon as I get the urge - or for anyone else in the family to do so, too. These have been popping up all over the web lately & I am so glad I gave one a go! Quick Card

With all of the hustle and bustle the holiday season can bring. I like to be able to make quick, last minute cards. The great things about this one is that by changing up the colors of the paper and flower you can come up with a whole new look. Make sure to take some time to enjoy the start of this year's season.

Sisters Wall Hanging

 Hello! Today I have a wall hanging I made for a friend for her sister for Christmas. The Prima flowers were the perfect touch to add some elegance to this project and nothing is done til it's got some Prima Bling!

 I found this metal hanger at Hobby Lobby in the clearance aisle. Not exactly sure what it was for but it was 70 cents and it worked perfectly. The Prima Lace was the finishing touch.

A Vintage Christmas Tag

Hi everyone:

It's Jess from  KinderStampo.  When I say the beautiful stripes on "The Paper Studio" Jolly Diagonal Stripes paper I found at Your Memories Here , I knew I had to make a vintage christmas tag.

This was a quick project : ) The base is chipboard cut at 2 1/2 in x 31/2 in. I layered it with a piece of scrap black and white paper. The Santa image I found over at http://www.twistedpapers.com/ and printed it in black and white instead of color then placed in on the base using Black Helmar Zapdots.  I cut a piece of the Jolly Diagonal Stripes 1 in x 6 in. and folded it accordian fold at every 1/4 in.  Then I made a half circle to place under the image and glued it with Helmar 450 Adhesive. I added a skeleton flower and a curly flower and just added some color by painting them with some mist. I then put a hole on the top of the tag and ran some twill ribbon and tied it off with silver floss and added a littl jingle bell. 

I can't wait to make some more to add to all the homemade gifts I'll be giving this year. Hope you enjoy it : )

Is It Too Early?

Hey everyone! I have been seeing some really great Christmas decorations, cards and tags lately. I keep telling myself *it's not too early to 'make' Christmas themed items, as long as I don't display them until after Thanksgiving.
So here is my first Christmas themed project for the season:

This is a wall hanging/wreath type decoration. I was inspired by the ornament made by Lolly (she gives an amazing tutorial for it HERE) Lolly's is ornament sized but I made mine slightly larger using 3" squares for the cones and a 5" circle for the center(which I sprayed with Snow Queen glimmer mist, one of the new winter colors) . The completed size of it is about 9". For the entire project I used only 3 sheets of double sided paper, 2 of the "Snow Day" and 1 "Winter Wisp" Both available at Your Memories Here with lots of other fabulous double sided papers.
I used thick chipboard letters to spell out the word "JOY". I painted the edges of each letter with purple acrylic paint first, then glued the patterned paper to the front. I added a coating of Mod Podge to each letter to make sure the paper doesn't lift up. Then I inked all the edges in dusty concord distress ink and added some icicle Stickles around all the edges too for a frosty ice look.

The letter "J" is embellished with some tiny jingle bells strung on light blue fibers, wrapped around the letter. I used a little dab of hot glue to keep each little bell in place.

The letter "O" has a few purple and aqua rhinestones embellishing it.

And finally for the letter "Y" I used some snowflake shaped brads, cut the prongs off then I smooshed (yes, that's a technical term) them into an embossing ink pad to get them well coated and sprinkled them with a light purple (Thistle from American Crafts) embossing powder and heated carefully with my heat gun. I used some hot glue to attach each one.

To attach the letters to my cone wreath base, I used the hot glue again. It seems to be holding up pretty good. Since the letters are made of chipboard they're pretty lightweight.
When it was all finished I proudly showed my hubby and he asked "Is that for someone named Joy?" Gosh he can be such a smart arse sometimes!

CAS Christmas

This card would be perfect for mass production! I used the cute Snag 'em stamp set from Your Memories Here and half a piece of white cardstock and a bit of ink for my card. Talk about inexpensive too! Be sure to hop on over to the store if you haven't in awhile...there may just be some goodies on sale! Handmade Christmas Tags!

Happy Sunday my crafty peeps! I'm back with you this week to share a Christmas project & hopefully inspire you to get started early on all of your holiday projects, if you haven't already. And while most of us don't want to deal with it yet, Christmas will be here before we know it & for once I am bound & determined not to start late! So on that note I would like to share with you a set of Christmas tags I made this week featuring some fabulous Prima, Tattered Angels, Cricut, & Imaginisce products you can find in the Your Memories Here Store.


Every year I say I am gonna make handmade gift tags & never do, but this year I was inspired by some beautiful tags in my current Scrapbooks Etc. magazine. These tags are super easy to make & help you use up some of that stash too! I used Prima lace, ribbon, pearls, polka dot patterned paper & the cute checkerboard background stamp that you can find HERE in the YMH Store. The black cardstock is by Tattered Angels & can actually be found in the Spooky Findings Kit...I told you that rockin' kit was soooo versatile!! Visit the YMH Store HERE to see all the fab, and some new, Tattered Angels products & kits. The beautiful Believe stamp set is by Imaginisce & I just love it! You snag the stamp, at an amazing price ($1.25), right HERE in the YMH Store. I also used my Cricut for a few of the die cuts & you can check out YMH's Cricut inventory HERE. The rest of the items were just from my stash & most were scraps! My favorite thing though are the little jingle bells...love that holiday sound!!

holiday cards

I've got two cards for ya'll today. Both are rather simple in supplies but I do hope you like them. On my Autumn card I used some Glimmer Mist to color my twill and some great Fall-ish paper (all found at YMH). The senitment was created on my computer and I framed it with a fun stamp from WM. The Vanilla background was embossed with a woodgrain folder.




For my second card I went to Christmas. I used a sentiment from PTI and a Martha Stweart snowflake punch. I painted over the punched snowflakes with Glitter Glam Chandelier for some sparkle. The frame is a Tattered Angels from and the panel in the background was made with some Pearl paint and the Cuttlebug Snowflake embossing folder. I also added a sweet little pink rose from Prima as a little extra special touch.

I am so excited because in a week I will be off for Thanksgiving and will have some time to try out some ideas that I playing around in my head :)

DT: Bonjour Birdie

Hi everyone,
It's Karli, with a scrapbook page for ya this week.
I've been admiring the T!m Holtz birdcage die but have been refusing to buy it because I have several awesome Cricut carts with birdcage images. Finally, I decided to make it happen.
Here it is:

Here's a closer peek at the birdcage & the beautiful Prima flowers I used to embellish. I used the Serenade Cart for the cage & Home Décor for the bird. I used my neglected Pebbles Inc Shimmer chalks to color the bird- easy peasy. To distress the cage a bit, I sprayed it with Tattered Angels Glimmer Mist in Garden Fairy & Sage then added some pearls to embellish.

 I LUUUUUUV this Prima alabaster flower. I sprayed it with Dazzling Diamonds & Irridescent Gold Tattered Angels Glimmer Mist for a beautiful effect- so wish you could see it :(

Did I use my Gypsy?  But of course!!! Oh, this page is mat ready for a 4 x 6 pic. I used a piece of Oopsie Daisy DP from imaginisce. The sentiment "Bonjour" is from the Ashlyn's Alphabet cart sprayed with TA glimmer mist too. The Swirly border DP is Breeze Specialty Die Cut paper which creates a perfect border accent. Don't ya think?

Fall Candle Holder

Hello crafty friends! Hope you are all enjoying this beautiful day. Today I have a candle holder that I decorated with a Prima Felt, Prima Flowers and Prima Leaves. It was super easy and I love all the colors together. I used beans on the inside for some extra color and texture. I really like how it all turned out.

 This was made with more things from the LWP Kit "Sweet Girl". See how far these kits can go and I still have some things left over!

Tag Swap Video

Hey everyone, no I haven't lost my marbles, I know it's November. But we just finished up revealing the tags for the October KinderStampO tag swap so now it' safe to share the video without ruing the surprise :)

You apply the techniques used in this video to any theme project, just change up the colors or stamps. Speaking of colors, we had a new shipment of Tattered Angels Glimmer Mist arrive over the weekend and there are some new colors in the store (like some of the limited edition Winter 2010 colors) So pop on over to the web site and check them out, they are all on sale ;)

Mom and Me

Happy Monday to you all! I have such a hard time getting good pics of my LO's...especially if the paper is a bit shimmery, any tips? I really enjoyed making this LO of my mom and I. It's a picure of us years ago when we were doing a dance performance. Mom and I have danced together for practically my whole life:) The paper is some pretty shimmery SEI and the flowers and trim are Prima. I just love those roses! I also sprinkled some Dew drops around and the butterflies were stamped and trimmed out from the Prima Wings set. Be sure to hop on over to the Your Memories Here store to see all the new goodies!

On a more personal note, I shared on my blog that my husband and I are adopting again! We are in process of bringing home another baby boy from Ethiopia, where my son is from. Kusudama flower tutorial w/matching corner bookmark!

Hello again everyone! Hope you are having an amazing Sunday...we are driving down to Texas Motor Speedway today for some family fun! This week I decided to share my first tutorial for Your Memories Here...a kusudama flower. I happened upon these origami flowers through the web & fell in love with them! I decided to attach the flower to a super easy-to-make corner bookmark, which comes in very handy because I am an avid reader. I also think this would make a lovely gift, especially if it accompanied a book to a special person!

1. Gather your supplies: five 2 1/2 squares of double sided paper, distress ink, & quick grab glue.
2. Ink edges of your paper.
3. Follow the folding directions above. There are some awesome video tutorials via Google too!
4. After you finish your 1st petal, complete 4 more w/the remaining squares.
5. Using the quick grab glue, adhere the petals together to form a flower.
6. Glue your ribbon through the bottom & add a button in center for a more decorative finish.
7. Attach pearl (or bling) to center of button if desired
8. Make corner bookmark & attach other end of ribbon to top corner, covering seam.
9. You can give as a gift w/a book or keep for yourself. Either way, enjoy your lovely creation!

All of the products I used here (except the rub ons, vintage button, & ink) are from the Your Memories Here Store. All of the paper, ribbon & pearls are Prima & can be found HERE in the YMH Store! I just adore Prima products & love how this project turned out. To make things easier I also used my Cricut to cut the squares, but you could also use a punch.
