Are Your Supplies Versatile?

If you read my last post, you already know that I bought myself a "little gift". I got the Close to my Heart Artbooking cartridge for the Cricut. I can't say enough good things about the catalog of images on this cartridge. It has more useful cuts than I have ever seen on any single Cricut cartridge (and I have quite a large collection). Infact, I have another Close to my Heart cartridge on order and can't wait for it's arrival too!

Ok I've talked enough, now it's time to show some of what I've been up to.

Your Memories Here
I made this card with papers from the Chalk it Up collection (who says they are only for "school" themed projects?) The base of the card is Flaxen cardstock, then I adhered a piece of Whisper white cardstock that I had stamped arrows all over. For that design, I used the arrows from the January Stamp of the Month set (From this Moment) using coordinating ink colors Sorbet, Flaxen and Lagoon. *side note - I love the CTMH prints the coordinating color information on the edge of all their B&T Duos papers, there's no guessing what coordinating cardstock and inks match best!
I added a piece of the Chalk it Up B&T Duos arrow patterned paper and on top of that placed a cut from the Artbooking cartridge in Glacier blue. Next I stamped the sentiment, also from the January SOTM set and embellished with a small heart cut and puffy heart sticker (part of the Chalk it Up collection accents).

Your Memories Here
My next card here is a base of Lagoon cardstock, layered with a piece of Chalk it Up B&T Duos paper with the star pattern. I used the same cut on this card from the Artbooking cartridge, this time in Sorbet cardstock and then cut it twice and adhered the cuts to mirror each other in a starburst design. I banded the middle with teal adhesive shimmer trim. Last, I added the stamped "Hello" banner in black ink on Lagoon cardstock - this stamp is also from the January SOTM set.

So hows that for versatility? I used a "school" themed paper collection along with a "Valentine" theme stamp set to create two unique and original, all occasion cards.

I hope I've helped you look at paper crafting supplies in a new way.

Don't You Just Love it When....

So I decided to buy myself something I had been wanting for awhile. When it comes to my craft supplies I'm pretty sure none of my family has a clue what I would want or need (or what I already have for that matter). So hoping to receive a new Cricut cartridge as a Christmas gift was not going to cut it. I took matters into my own hands and just placed the order myself.

I ordered the Close to my Heart Exclusive Artbooking cartridge. Let me tell you, it has way more than what I was expecting! There's a font, Scrapbook page layouts, Whole and half page overlays, mini album pages, page titles and card sentiments, icons, borders and so much more!

I can't wait to start creating with it and share those projects with you!
