Time For Tea Card - Prima Almanac Collection

TGIF YMH fans!  Dana here today sharing a card.  The Florida panhandle has had a lot of rain this week due to Hurricane Isaac and I've been curling up with some good books and plenty of hot tea, trying to keep warm and dry.  All my tea drinking has inspired me to create a card with the Prima Almanac collection.  I love this tea cup chipboard piece!  I made a little tea bag tag with some twine and a letter ticket to embellish the tea cup.  The rhinestone clock adds a fun bit of bling.  They say the best sweeteners of tea are love and scandal, so I think I'll use this card to invite a girlfriend over to catch up on the latest gossip over a cup of tea!

Thanks for stopping by today! Prima Pre-Orders are available in the Your Memories Here Store! If you have your eye on 1, or 7, of the new Prima collections, get your order in now for a significant savings. Grab Bags are available again in 3 sizes. If you're running low on embellishments from the last Prima release, there are still Winter Grab Bags available in 3 different sizes. If you like to make mini albums and off-the-page projects, be sure to check out the selection of Live With Prima Kits!

Let Me Introduce You

Hi friends! I'm so excited to share today's post and introduce you to our new design team! We have 7 fabulous ladies posting each and everyday of the week for your crafty inspiration.
I believe you are already familiar with Nancy and Dana, they are returning for another term and we couldn't be happier to have them stay on (when you find a good thing you hold on to it)
Another fabulous lady who you may remember from our team a year or so ago is back! I'm talking about the amazing Emily. I bet you have seen these other ladies around cyber space too - they may be new to our team but they certainly aren't new to creativity, please welcome Heather, Sue, DeNetra and Ashley.
I feel so lucky to have this "super team" representing Your Memories Here.
They will start posting in September, but please stop by their blogs for a peek at what's to come and show them some bloggy love.

A Declaration

Hi everyone!  Nancy here today to share a project I made with  the Declaration collection from Pink Paislee.  This collection is just gorgeous, full of fun patterns and colors that are good for so much more than just 4th of July.  I love the elements for boy pages.  Sometimes it is hard to find papers and embellishments for the older boys in our lives.
I used a sketch from Page Drafts which I have just fallen in love with lately.
Bits of distress stain with a mask, bakers twine, and many layers of foam dots under my stickers helped to add dimension.

OK,  Well....Back to work.

Hugs.

Notes - Prima Romance Novel

Hi YMH fans!  Dana here today sharing a dressed-up envelope I created using the new Prima Romance Novel collection.  The line is my favorite of the new Prima releases.  The collection is full of wonderful vintage images, romantic floral designs, postal elements and some really cool text.  Several of the patterned papers have designs that are ready to cut out and fold, like this envelope.

I love the pop of bright pink from this Cabaletta bloom!  The printed leaves, Vintage Trinkets and Wood Buttons are a great way to add both texture and color to projects.  I love that these embellishments are small enough to use on the flap of an envelope.

I cut two small envelope closures from the patterned paper and attached them to this envelope with an eyelet.  The envelope opens by untying a piece of twine that is wrapped around the closures.  The small cards inside the envelope were cut from the small piece of patterned paper and are perfect for writing a message to someone special.  This envelope would be great to give as is or along with a gift.  It's small enough to use as an embellishment on a card or on a layout for some hidden journaling.

Happy Birthday

Hi everyone!  Nancy here today to share a simple card I made for my grandmother's birthday.  I don't make many cards, but for her....always.

Inspired by all the star burst patterns I have seen lately I used bits of my Pink Paislee Spring Jubilee papers to create the look.  I added a bit of stitching to help mark the rays....
And then one single, gorgeous Prima flower and leaf.  A little stamped tag holds my sentiment.

A simple card for an oh so special lady.

Thanks for stopping by today! Prima Pre-Orders are available in the Your Memories Here Store! If you have your eye on 1, or 7, of the new Prima collections, get your order in now for a significant savings. Grab Bags are available again in 3 sizes. Genuine-layout by Nanné

Nanné here again and I'm so psyched its Monday..
I haven't created a  flower layout in a long time and it was really what I have been wanting to create for today's reveal.  I grabbed some Prima flowers and Webster's Pages papers: Trendsetter and flipped through to see what kinds of patterns and colors I would want to play with.. I decided to go with the greens and creams, then adding light plum flowers to accent the colors of the papers..

Here is my Project:
and what better to accent a pretty layout, than adding a photo of my daughter to it..LOL
can you tell you I'm a proud mom? :)  I really am and in so many ways..

How about a few close ups:

I love Prima flowers.. I probably own every color of hydrangeas ever made..LOL
I also found some cream colored roses in my stash and green leaves..The pearls are also by Prima..

These big Prima flowers I have had for a long time, I love em.. They are just absolutely gorgeous..
I decided to stick with these colors for this layout.

I did some fussy cutting, I cut the dress form out of the paper, you can barely see it.. I have a bad habit of covering stuff up with flowers..LOL  I added a bunch of liquid pearl accents all over the layout.

Close up of my daughter.. She is such a beauty..LOL
I used my MS corner punch and punched out the corner of the photo..
I found some Websters pages sparklers in my stash..
These are the clear scalloped buttons.. used some Helmars Gemstone glue to attach them, that stuff dries absolutely clear and no one will ever see it behind the clear buttons.. love this stuff!!
The butterflies are a MS punch..

alrighty then ladies.. That's my Monday project for this week.. I want to thank you for stopping by today and checking out project, do stop by Your Memories Here and sign up for the new Prima Collections that are to be released soon..
Hope everyone has a scrap-tastic week..
hugs

Pace of Nature ATC - Faber-Castell Gelatos

Hi YMH fans!  Dana here sharing an artist trading card today.  I started with a Ranger Manila Card and piece of Sticky-Back Canvas.  The Sticky-Back Canvas is unprimed, so once I stuck the canvas to my manila card, I added several light coats of watered-down gesso to the canvas surface.  I used Kaisercraft acrylic paint in Yellow to color the background of my card.  I created a subtle ombre effect with the paint, adding a thicker layer of paint to the right-hand side of the card.

I wanted to add more color to my ATC so I brought out my set of Faber-Castell Gelatos.  I used a Prima floral stamp from the Meadow Lark collection.  I rubbed several colors of Gelatos (Red Cherry, Tangerine, Metallic Melon and Chocolate) directly onto my stamp, spritzed my stamp with water, and then stamped onto my ATC.

Several stamped images can be produced with one application of the Gelatos to the stamp.  I used the address stamp, also from the Prima Meadow Lark collection, and some Ranger Archival Ink to add another layer of color to my background.

I used a Ranger Paint Dabber in Espresso to add color to a piece of chipboard.  To finish my card I added some Prima embellishments and a quote.

Thanks for stopping by today! Prima Pre-Orders are available in the Your Memories Here Store! If you have your eye on 1, or 7, of the new Prima collections, get your order in now for a significant savings. Grab Bags are available again in 3 sizes. If you're running low on embellishments from the last Prima release, there are still Winter Grab Bags available in 3 different sizes in the YMH Store.

Canvas Banner

This banner I did for a good friend's little girl's birthday. Her name is Keiper-Elizabeth so we shortened it to Keiper-E. She's such a doll.

I used prima flowers and leaves.

Glimmer mist in Vintage pink all over and then I used a Prima mask and used Bubblegum pink to make the design.

LOTS of flowers make it super girly! I hope her Momma likes it! :)
Thanks for stopping by and don't forget to check out the store. I know new things are getting listed all the time AND the grab bags are still available!!!

Amazing

Hi everyone, Nancy here today to share with you a project that may look a little familiar.  I am always amazed at how, even if you give designers the same exact products, you get such a variety of results.   A few weeks ago Dana shared with you her Joy Mixed Media art journal she made with Anna Dabrowska.  I also took that class and wanted to share mine.

This was a class that many LSS all over the country, and the techniques and materials were the same regardless of where you took it.

Here is Dana's cover....
Gorgeous!

And here is mine.....

Both covers used the same Mixed Media Canvas covers that you can buy right here in the Your Memories Here store as well as lots of yummy buttons, trinkets, laces and flowers from Prima.  I went a little more heavy handed with the grunge (Anna convinced me not to be so delicate) but you can see that the idea is the same.

And a few inside pages....
And mine...
Same technique, same items for embellishment...but this time Dana has the more grungy look.  And of course, she actually has added a photo.  lol

Another, Dana....
And mine...

I know I had a ton of fun creating this art journal, and look forward to working on it more in the near future.  At least finishing the pages I have started.  LOL

You should try one too.  You can find the gorgeous album cover and inside pages at the YMH store, and plenty of embellishments and papers as well.

Hugs.

Nancy

Art Journaling tag by Nanné

Cause its a manic Monday..LOL  <--( I bet you sang that)
Not really, but just wanted to share with you how I have been so interested and in love with Art Journaling.. I've been dying to start my own journaling book, but just haven't had any spare time.. But, for today's reveal for Your Memories Here, I decided to start my Art Journaling journey by making an Art Journaling tag..
Try saying that three times fast..LOL

Here is what I ended up creating and mind you, it's my first so be gentle with me..

I started off with just plain white cardstock, trimmed it down to 6 1/4" x 3 1/8" , used my edge punch and snipped the upper corners off, you can do that with scissors as well.  Then glued some Prima papers down to it, I used Prima Songbird 6x6 collection.
I then took some distress ink and rubbed it over the edges with my inking tool..
I then grabbed my small stash of random stamps that I've collected over the years decided to go all Tim Holtz on this tag..

I first stamped it with the paisley stamp.. using ranger black suit on all of the stamping.. Then added the crowns.. The sentiment is from one of Tim Holtz stamp sets.. stamped it on a piece of white paper, cut it into strips,  inked the edges and then randomly glued it down with glossy accents.. I went over the text with a black fine tip marker, adding a few drops of white marker and then random doodling ..

I also dug around my chipboard box.  I have some grunge board elements hidden away and decided it was about time to put the crown and heart to good use.. painted them both gold with Ranger paint dabbers.. then added some gold perfect pearls and some Wild Honey distress stickles to the chipboard pieces.. I attached those with some strong Helmars quick dry adhesive..

Here you can see the heart.. I inked the edge with black suit distress ink.. and I distressed the edges with my distress tool...

All right then fellow crafter's.. That's my Monday post for this week..
I want to thank you for stopping by and taking a look at my tag and I hope it has inspired you to start on an Art Journal of your own, even if just starting with a tag like I did :)  for supplies, check out Your Memories Here..
Hope everyone has a scrap-sational week..
hugs

Avian Notecard Set - Prima Meadow Lark

Greetings YMH fans!  Dana here today sharing a notecard set.  I'm so excited about the new Prima collections that I'm trying to use up some of my older stash to make room for my next shipment of goodies.  I love the pretty pastel color palette, floral designs and gorgeous birds of the Prima Meadow Lark collection.  I used up the last of my patterned paper and some of the coordinating embellishments from the line to make this set of notecards.

Each notecard is slightly different.  I used the same basic design and arranged the embellishments around the beautiful birds I chose as the focal point of each card.  I used Tattered Angels Glimmer Mist to color the pieces of resist canvas.  The rhinestone branches were the perfect element to highlight the branches that were printed on the patterned papers.

Also, if you're interested in becoming part of the YMH Design Team, please apply!  This is a great team to be a part of!  You can find all the details about the call HERE.

My Little Tweety Book

Hello! I made this book with the KaiserCraft Fine & Sunny set. I just LOVE it.

I made the paper ruffle by cutting thin strips of paper and the scrunching it together and gluing the ends together til I got the length I needed.
I made all the tags out of the paper too. The little strips of paper on the top of the pockets are from the bar code strip I cut off the paper. Super cute.
You could use this for all sorts of things. You could put pictures on one tag and journal on the other or use the open space on the bottom of the page for pictures and use both tags for journaling.
I cut my papers 6x12 and glued the backs together to form the book. The tags on the side were in the sticker sheet.
SO many possibilities!
Happy Crafting and thanks for stopping by. I know Kristina has been putting new things in the YMH store so be sure to check it out!!

Bind a Birthday

Hi everyone, Nancy here today to share more photos from my daughter's birthday party.

This year for her party we decided as a craft to make mini books.  I cut up lots of my scrap papers and allowed the girls to use my Bind-it-All and some o-wires to create all by themselves.

The girls had a great time and of course I had to take photos.  And I couldn't resist using them to create this page based on a Creative Scrappers sketch and using more papers from Pink Paislee's collection, Spring Jubilee.
Of course, I used more fussy cutting for embellishment along with a few chipboard stickers, a shipping tag and a bit of lace.

Thanks for stopping by today.

Hugs.
