More Art - Prima Songbird

Hi everyone!  Nancy here today to share with you another project I made using the photos of my girls making Ruby Violet jewelry.  This time I chose to use the gorgeous Songbird collection from Prima Marketing.  The colors in this collection are so soft and lovely.

A bit of distressing with my Comfort Craft Distress Tool and a bit of ink added quite a bit of texture.
I used quite a few different Prima flowers to create my floral clusters, accenting some of the flat flowers with pearls.  And a bit of Prima lace under my title.
You too can find a great selection of Prima products at Your Memories Here in the grab bags.  The bags come in three different sizes and offer you a great selection of products to play with.

Hope you're having a great day.

Hugs.

Gift Card Holders

OK so I'm a bit late posting these as it's been 2 weeks since Mother's day. But these really can be used for any occasion. I made a few gift card holders as a prettier way to present my gifts to the special moms in my life. I used a Sizzix suitcase die (the same one you've seen Nancy use) and lots of Prima pretties. The canvas resists are from the Printery collection and I colored them with Distress inks and watered them down and blended with a paint brush.
We have lots of gorgeous Prima products in stock to choose from, but I think the best way to order it is in a grab bag - because you get lots of variety and value! As for the Sizzix die, we can special order you in one like this one I used or any others you might want (as long as it isn't discontinued) Just send me an email to krissy@yourmemorieshere.com with your order requests.

Beautiful-DT project by Nanné

Wow.. Is it Monday again? LOL  These days are just flying by and a few days ago, I thought to myself " Well, I'll get the project done tomorrow!" and then I can't cause I have to go there or do something else.. which really upsets me that I have to re-plan my scrappy schedule..Grrrr...LOL
but with that said, this post a little late since I wasn't able to get to it sooner..  I had a design in mind for this layout and I had a blast putting it all together..
I've seen a lot of the honeycomb backgrounds and I wanted to create one of my own.. I used my Cricut to cut the honeycomb shapes out of cream cardstock, inked the edges with distress ink and then cut the prints using the Sun Kiss papers..
Here is my project:

The background paper is from the Prima Sun Kiss collection 12x12.. I then decided to utilize my 6x6 stack and cut the smaller pieces out of that.. making sure not to waste any of this GORGEOUS paper..
All of the flowers came with my Prima collection since I bought the WHOLE collection..  I ended up with more than I could ever imagine..LOL

here are a few close ups:

for supplies used to create this layout:

Edge punch
Cricut: title and honeycomb

leaves

alrighty then fellow scrappers.. Thats my Design team project for Your Memories Here.. I want to thank you all so much for stopping by today and checking out what I've created..
Hope everyone has a scrap-tastic week.

Altered Dominoes - My Prima Place Inspiration

TGIF YMH fans!  Dana here today. The Prima blog is a great source of inspiration for me.  Heidi Kelley's Domino Necklace caught my eye several months ago.  My last order from the Your Memories Here Store included a copy of Vol. 1 of the Prima Marketing magazine My Prima Place. The magazine includes sketches, inspiration, designer freebie pages and step-by-step tutorials.  Heidi's Domino Necklace tutorial is included in this issue so I thought I would try creating my own altered dominoes.  I'm really pleased with how they turned out and I'm thinking of making key chains out of them.

Thanks so much for stopping by today! If you missed out on the Prima Winter Release from YMH, the Winter CHA Prima Grab Bags are once again available in the YMH Store! There are still a few copies of the Prima's My Prima Place Vol. 1 and Kristina will be glad to send one out to you with your Prima order!

Supplies: Patterned Paper: Prima; Art Tiles: Prima; Pearls: Prima; Paint: Shimmerz, Ranger; Modeling Paste: Blick; Other: Dominoes

Artist at Work

Hi everyone!  Nancy here today to share with you a project I made with lots of yummy Prima goodies, as a matter of fact...everything on the page except my kraft cardstock is from Prima.

You may recognize the photo as it is one of my youngest making Ruby Violet jewelry.   I started with a base of papers from the Recollections collection that I distressed with a fairly heavy hand and my Prima Distress Tool.  Then I layered on gorgeous blooms, laces, and bling.
I love all the different shades of colors that the Prima flowers offer...and all the gorgeous texture.
Thanks for stopping by the Your Memories Here blog today.

Hugs.

Fairies Live Here

Good Morning Blogland!

Once again it is Sunday and I am here to share with you a project that I have completed this week.  I wanted to use up some scrap pieces from a mini album from the Sweet Retreat.

I sat down with a small 6x6 canvas and set about layering the papers I wanted to use and cutting them to fit.  After I layered them on the canvas as I wanted them I grabbed my Pan Pastels and used them for the background colouring especially for the edges.

I then used Helmar 450 to adhere the papers in place once I had inked the edges using Distress Ink in Peeled Paint.  I have used a piece of the Resist Canvas from the Almanac line and inked it in Tattered Rose Distress Ink.  I have then layered flowers from the Natures Garden range as well as some trusty faves of Prima.

This canvas is a little whimsical and different from my usual styling but I love it all the same...now to find a home for it LOL!

Until next week...

Hi Gorgeous - Prima Almanac Collection

I love Friday!  Not only is it the beginning of the weekend, but I also get to share my project with you YMH fans!  I've been working with the Prima Almanac collection for several weeks now, and I have amassed quite a pile of scraps.  The patterned papers in this collection are filled with fun designs and small prints that I like to cut out and layer.  Sometimes I get carried away and cut more small embellishments than I can use on one project, so I decided to put some of them to use on this card.

The chipboard stickers in this collection are coated with glitter and glaze, perfect for adding a touch of glossy shimmer without the mess and drying time!

Thanks so much for stopping by today! If you missed out on the Prima Winter Release from YMH, the Winter CHA Prima Grab Bags are once again available in the YMH Store!

Supplies Patterned Paper: Prima; Flowers: Prima; Chipboard: Prima; Lace: Prima; Cotton Tape: Prima; Stamp: Prima; Ink: Ranger, Tsukineko

Spring Jubilee

Hi everyone, Nancy here and today I wanted to share with you one of the projects I made on National Scrapbook Day while at Prima Marketing.  I had such a great time cropping there.  They provided us with lots of goodies to play with...and I took full advantage.

I used the lovely Spring Jubilee papers from the Your Memories Here store and lots of yummy Prima flowers and trims with these fun photos of my daughter.
I used a huge variety of flat flowers, vines, and a few layered flowers to form my cluster.
Be sure to check out the YMH store for all the yummy new Pink Paislee goodies.

Thanks for stopping by.

Hugs.

Happy Mother's Day!

I hope today finds all the gorgeous Mothers out there enjoying their day surrounded by family and perhaps a little creative time. I spent my day playing with the Almanac range of papers from Prima....LOVE this line!

I made sure I painted this wooden pail with my fave paint Folk Art Warm White.   I cut the papers to fit the ends and sides as well as using one of the journal spots for the label (as such!)

The alphas are the Prima Canvas alphas to match the Almanac line.  I wrapped the handle with Twine and secured it with Decoupage glue as I went (that part took the longest!)

I added a few of the Almanac flowers from my Collection package and finally ran to the store to grab candy to fill it with haha...it now sits proudly on my desk in the office for when I need that instant pick me up!

I hope you enjoyed my little project.

Remember Tag - Ranger Distress Markers

TGIF! Dana here today sharing a tag created with goodies from the Prima Almanac and Meadow Lark collections. My set of Distress Markers arrived last week and I had a lot of fun using them on this project!

The Prima Meadow Lark collection includes several fantastic floral stamps that I thought would be fun to use as embellishments. I stamped several flowers onto a piece of watercolor paper using StazOn ink.  Using the brush tip end of the markers, I colored my flowers using Spun Sugar, Worn Lipstick, Dusty Concord, Milled Lavender, Tumbled Glass and Mustard Seed.

Once I added a splash of color to each flower, I ran a wet paintbrush over each bloom to spread the color over the petals.

Here are my flowers once dry.  I added a light coat of Iridescent Gold Glimmer Mist to the petals and some Wild Honey Stickles to the flower centers.

I added twine and a wood ticket to bring some of the outdoors onto my tag.

Thanks so much for stopping by today!  If you missed out on the Prima Winter Release from YMH, the Winter CHA Prima Grab Bags are once again available in the YMH Store!

Supplies: Tag: Avery; Journaling Card, Leaves, Art Tiles, Wood Ticket, Stamps: Prima; Ribbon: May Arts; Ink: Ranger, Tsukineko; Markers, Stickles: Ranger; Mist: Tattered Angels; Other: Book Page, Twine
