Ribbon Spool Ornament - Webster's Pages

Dana here today sharing a fun up-cycled Christmas ornament.  I've been busy crafting and wrapping up holiday gifts and have quite a few empty ribbon spools laying around.  I had a lot of fun decorating this spool with some Webster's Pages goodies.

The Webster's Pages Designer Trims are gorgeous and made covering the inside and outside of my spool quick and easy.  I lined the inside edges of the spool with Gold Stickles.

Here is the back of my ornament.  I used some patterned papers from the Webster's Pages Home For The Holidays and Waiting For Santa collections.  I used a Tattered Angels Snowflake Glimmer Screen from the Vintage Ice Set as a stencil to cut the blue snowflake from patterned paper. I finished off the edge of this ornament with some Vintage Photo Distress Ink.

Thanks for stopping by today!  If you're looking to pick up some sparkly supplies or pretty trims for your holiday crafting, be sure to check out the Your Memories Here Store.  There are plenty of deals to be found in the Sale and Clearance sections.  There are also new Live With Prima Kits available which make fabulous holiday gifts!

Supplies: Patterned Paper: Webster's Pages; Stickers: Webster's Pages; Trim: Webster's Pages; Flowers: Webster's Pages, Prima; Silhouette: Webster's Pages; Crepe Paper Snowflake: Girls' Paperie; Stickles: Ranger; Ink: Ranger; Snowflake Glimmer Screen: Tattered Angels; Other: Ribbon Spool, Twine

celebrate card

Hey everyone! Hope you're all recovered from your Thanksgiving festivities!

I have a card to share this week. The sentiment is fairly general so it could be used for many celebrations.

The papers are from Pink Paislee Nantucket & Cosmo Cricket Hey Sugar. Also from the store, I grabbed sun sisters Glimmer Mist & spritzed the yellow cardstock background (it didn't photograph well). I stamped with Tim Holtz walnut stain distress ink. My little banner tag that I cut is popped up with a Zapdot  in the 1/2 inch size.

Here's another view:

& here's another shot so you can see the dimension & layering.

Thanks for stopping by today! Enjoy the rest of your week :)

Barbie Has It All

Hi everyone!  Nancy here today to share with you a project I made for my daughter and her Barbie collection.

If you are like me and have girls that love Barbie, you are probably always finding Barbie shoes.  I decided to create a little "dresser" for Barbie to hold some of her accessories in;  you know, those shoes, brushes, and other accessories that always seem to be getting misplaced.
I used the Candy Box Sizzix die (don't forget to ask Kristina to pick one up for you if you don't have it) to create three separate boxes.  I painted the boxes and then covered them using the gorgeous Cashmere Dame collection from Glitz papers.
After painting the top with a coat of Rock Candy Crackle Paint I added some beautiful Prima blooms and bling
And finally added buttons to the drawer fronts to complete the look.  These drawers are actually quite large and will easily hold dozens of Barbie shoes in each compartment.

What girl wouldn't love holding some little treasures in these sweet boxes?

Hugs.

Nancy

A Holiday Tag for the Tree

Good Afternoon friends. Emily here, and my apologies for the tardiness of this post. Long story short, I had to go into work to help out with some projects that are due in the next week. I spent the first part of my day making perfumes and salves. It was not glamorous, but I sure do smell nice!

Today I have a tag I made for our tree using the Prima Summer CHA 2012 Grab Bag I bought from the store. If you don't already have one, you need to buy one. I can't stress this enough. You get a ton of goodies in the grab bag and it is totally worth the price. You pretty much get almost double your price! How can you say no to that??

The Say it in Crystals and the center flower were both from my grab bag. To adhere the flowers I used some Helmar 450 Quick Dry  and some Zapdots to give the Christmas Memories sentiment some dimension.

My shipping tag was originally white, so I used some Ranger Distress Ink  on it, sprayed it with water using my water bottle and used a heat gun to dry it immediately. That is how I got my splotchy look. I love the way it turned out. I then used more ink around the edges.

Below are some more close ups.

I hope you've enjoyed my tag today, and once again, my apologies for being late!! Hope you have a great rest of your day! Maybe you can get some creative time in before your day is over.

Have a good one!

(yet another) Birthday Card

Hey everyone Heather here with yet another Birthday card to share. Seriously...you can never have too many Birthday cards on hand.

I inked the edges of the card, doilies, and die cut using Ranger distress ink to sort of bring everything together and also add some depth. I used Stickles to highlight a couple places on the die cut. The crystals and charm are both Prima.

Thanks for looking!

Peace & love.

Prima Songbird Altered Tray

Good Morning friends! We are having a very COLD Saturday morning so far!!! Brrrrrr!!! Too cold for Florida anyways. We're supposed to have a high today of 68 F. Eep! A great time to stay indoors and craft with a hot cup of java. What better way to do that than creating with some lovely Prima grab bag products from Your Memories Here!   In addition, now is also a great time to get some early holiday shopping done taking advantage of some great deals that Kristina has to offer during the Black Friday sale!

Today I'm sharing with you a serving tray I created using a winter 2012 grab bag from the Prima Songbird Collection. (the flower is part of a free gift I received). I just love birds and I thought they would be a perfect addition to a lovely bare wood tray I picked up for a song then spray painted with some white spray paint that has paint and primer all in one. After a few coats and some light touch ups, I allowed some sufficient dry time, then applied the beautiful DP using some Claudine Helmuth Studio Matte Multi-Medium. If you've never tried this product for altering items, it is fabulous! It dries quickly and doesn't leave a bubbled paper mess either!

Well, Thank you for taking the time to join us on the YMH DT blog! Please make sure you stop back by as every day has one terrific inspirational creation after another! and have a great week!!

Time Flies - Pink Paislee

Hi YMH fans!  I hope those who celebrate had a fabulous Thanksgiving.  Dana here today sharing a layout that I created by mixing two collections, Pink Paislee's Nantucket and London Market.  I think the patterns and colors complement each other well. Also, blending these lines together brings a new freshness to these papers that has me wanting to craft with them more.

I kept my page design clean and simple because I chose a lot of busy patterns and I wanted the photo to pop. I used a Prima Wood Embellishment for the title.  I thought the frame on the Pink Paislee Collage Sheet was the perfect spot to add this tag.

Thanks for stopping by today! If you're looking for some Pink Paislee products, be sure to check out the Your Memories Here Store.  Also available are the Declarations, Indigo Bleu and Spring Jubilee collections. YMH is also offering some fabulous Black Friday Deals!

Supplies: Patterned Paper: Pink Paislee, Collage Sheet: Pink Paislee; Ephemera: Pink Paislee; Wood Tag: Prima; Doily: Hallmark; Distress Ink: Ranger; Other: Twine, Flower, Heart; Photo Credit: Sarah Seror

volunteering [2 page layout]

Happy Thanksgiving!

I've got a double page layout to share this week. I very rarely do these because I find it hard to unify the two pages.

I used Cosmo Cricket for my background and accent papers. The grey cardstock is Tim Holtz kraft core & I used a border punch with it. I accented with the Winsor rub ons by SEI and center kisses by Prima (which must be sold out because I can't find them in the store anymore). Here is a link to the ribbon I used. It can be dyed or misted but I just used it plain on this page. Some of the accents were popped off the page with the 1/2 inch Zapdots & my adhesive was the Helmar tape runner (as usual).

Hope you're all enjoying the holiday!

My Girl

Hi everyone!  Happy almost Thanksgiving to those of you in the US.  It is Nancy here today to share with you a layout I made using some of the new Zephyr Collection and lots of other gorgeous Prima products.
I made the bricks on the page using a Prima brick mask, some fiber paste and a bit of Distress ink in Brushed Corduroy.   I then cut each individual brick out and placed it on my page.  Such a fun technique that I think I will definitely use again.
Of course I couldn't resist lots of gorgeous Prima blooms and butterflies , a few bits of Prima bling that I cut to stretch a bit further, and some gorgeous Alecon Lace.

Hugs.

A Very Merry Christmas with Prima Grab Bags

Hello YMH fans! Emily here with a card I created using some goodies from the Prima Grab Bags that are still available in the store. :) I know Christmas isn't here yet, but it is only just around the corner. I thought I would make some Christmas cards using some of the lovely goodies in the grab bag I purchased from the store.

The papers are some old American Crafts from one of their past holiday collections. I love the colors and in the grab bag found some red Prima Say it in Crystals - Welcome to Paris that went well with the red in the papers. The flower was also in the bag and is from the Cabaletta Summer 1 set. Both of these I pulled from my grab bag. Below is a close up of the two....

All of the papers were inked with Tim Holtz Vintage Photo Distress Stain. The sentiment is from a stamp I got a few years ago.

As I was photographing the card, my cat, Mr. Moe decided he wanted to investigate what I was up to, and hopped up on the table to see. I snapped this photo of him as he was next to the card.... he would look pretty cute on a Christmas card. :)

I hope you've enjoyed my card today, and the Merry Christmas from Mr. Moe. Have a Happy Thanksgiving and enjoy your time with your families. I'll see you next week!!

Happy birthday (card)

Hey everyone, Heather here with a birthday card to share.

I actually used some Prima packaging for the two background pages. I distressed the edges and inked them with distress ink, and added Stickles to the edges and to accent some of my die cuts.

Sorry that the picture isn't the greatest, it's dark outside and I don't have time to try to take a better one because my mom is in the hospital and I'm on my way out the door to visit her.

Peace & love.

ATC collage-Prima

Gooooood Afternoon friends!! I'm a little late in posting but, I stayed up late last night getting my new-used processor up and running. I had to buy one on the fly as my hard drive was getting ready to die on my current one. I had to wait on my re-installations (including my photo editing software) so, that's why I'm a little behind. But, no worries!! I'm here to share with you today a beautiful ATC collage that I created using some fabulous Prima products available at Your Memories Here.

Here I'm using some grab bag goodies. I LOVE LOVE LOVE The grab bags! It's so fun to go through them once you receive them and discover all the beautiful, endless possibilities that are so easy to achieve! Just like this ATC card. I think it took me about 20 minutes? The Prima line I'm using here is Zephyr. Isn't it just gorgeous??!! I LOVE the colors and the pretty, feminine patterns. Furthermore, the adhesive chipboard is amazing!! So easy to apply and sticks very well! and if you haven't discovered by now, I absolutely ADORE the Prima chalk inks! They make projects SO much fun to create.  I used it for the background and then stamped a Prima script stamp over top. Then, I applied some fun Washi Tape and adhered down some floral details with Helmar's adhesive glue. SO, make sure you find some time to visit Kristina's store! You won't be disappointed!

Unforgettable - Prima Rondelle & Romance Novel

Hi YMH fans!  Dana here today sharing another layout today that I created with the beautiful Prima Rondelle and Romance Novel collections.  I love how well these lines complement each other.  The orange, grey and pink color palette of this patterned paper caught my eye and paired beautifully with this photo of my niece.  This Rondelle patterned paper combines many of my favorite design elements; lace, polka dots, text, script and plaid, in a fabulous way.  I wanted to play up all those feminine designs so I added plenty of flowers, a vintage book page and lace.

These butterflies come in a multicolored package of 6 and add a fabulous shimmer to any project.

Thanks so much for stopping by today!  If you haven't stopped by the Your Memories Here Store be sure to check them out.  The Prima Grab Bags are a wonderful value if you're looking for a great mix of Prima products at a excellent price. Pick one up before they're gone for good!

giving thanks card

Hey everyone! I have a card that is 4x9 inches to share this week. Something a little different from the typical cards I do. Even though they're not typical Thanksgiving colors, I pulled out my Cosmo Cricket Hey Sugar papers. I'm a big fan of the colors in this collection although they didn't photograph particularly well. It's getting dark so soon that I didn't have much light to work with!

I used several punches & layers & chipboard banner pieces wrapped in decorative tape. I topped it all off with a London Market chipboard button by Pink Paislee that's coated with pink lady Glimmer Glaze. It's so pretty - pink & silver!  My favorite! I used some of the Helmar zap dots on some of the layers for added dimension. I used Tim Holtz walnut stain distress ink on the sentiment.

Thanks for joining me this week!

Give Thanks

Hi everyone!  Nancy here today to share with you a quick and simple card I made using a Sizzix Flip-it Card die, some goodies from the Your Memories Here store and a simple, vintage image.
These fun Sizzix dies make creating a card so easy.  Kristina is always happy to find your dies for you at a discount   No waiting for a sale, just shoot her an email and she will see if it is available.
Bits of Almanac papers and chipboard mixed with gorgeous Prima flowers, some seam binding (I dyed mine with Bundled Sage Distress Stain), a vintage image, and some leftover goodies on my table and I was done.
A simple, yet elegant card to show someone how much you care.

Hugs.

Grab Bag Card Share

Good morning Your Memories Here friends! Emily here today with a couple of cards I created using one of the Prima Summer CHA 2012 Grab Bags that you can still find in the store. There are still some left, so be sure to get your hands on one... or two before they are gone!

This first card uses some of the Pierott flowers in black and some of the Rosarian Washi Tape which both came in my grab bag. I have recently become obsessed with washi tape. I'm a little behind in this fad, I realize this, but I find that as the fad really starts to get big, the products get cuter and cuter!

It's simple, but turned out cute! I love the black, red and creams together. :) To adhere the papers and flower I used Helmar 450 Quick Dry Adhesive since it sets so quickly and is permanent. The sentiment has some dimension and I used Zapdots to get that dimension.

This next card also uses more of the goodies that came in my Grab Bag. This is definitely more on the romantic and shabby side. I used 450 Quick Dry once again to put the card together.

More washi tape from the bag was used, this time the Rondelle tape. The flower is from the Timido-Romance Novel pack, the leaves are Plume-Tea-Thyme, the Wood Tickets are Tea-Thyme and the journaling notecard is also from the Tea-Thyme collection.

As you can see from what I used, I mixed up the goodies slightly. You don't have to pull all of your supplies from the same collections. The grab bags allow you to step outside of the box and mix things up. That is why I love grab bags such as these!

I hope you've enjoyed the cards I've shared today. I will see you next week with another project. Have a great week!!
