Bits and Baubles

Happy Saturday everyone. I am sharing with you today a simple postcard I decided to create using my Faber Castell gelatos and a baby wipe along with a Prima stencil available at Your Memories Here.

I created the background by first applying a Faber Castell pink gelato onto a WC postcard paper. Then, I layered the stencil with some Adirondack color wash spray. Lastly, I used some Prima chalk edgers  to ink up some Ruby Violet cling stamps to stamp the images and sentiments. In addition, the journal card is also Prima as well as the plastic buttons and canvas key sprayed with Adirondack color wash.
A simple, fun postcard along with an enjoyable crafting experience. Can't beat that! Thank you for joining me today and be sure to visit Kristina for all your crafting needs!

Celebrate - Hope Chest

Hi everyone!  Nancy here today to share with you a layout I made using the beautiful Hope Chest collection from Pink Paislee.

But before I share the layout itself, how about a quick video on creating a crackled wood background for your projects?

Super easy and fun.  With the wood background, a bit of mist and some gorgeous flowers from my Prima grab bag I created this....

Ainsley and a couple of friends at her birthday party.

Thanks for stopping by.

Hugs

Tags to Cards - Prima Rondelle

Hi everyone!  Nancy here today to share with you a few cards I made using the Live with Prima kit, Lush and Lovely Tags.

I love, love, love the gorgeous tags that Cari Fennell made with this gorgeous kit, but I am not much of a tag person, so I decided to use her tags as inspiration for these cards.  Not being much of a card maker, I was very pleased with how these turned out.  Be sure and grab one of the last kits featuring the beautiful Rondelle collection and make a fabulous project today.

Hugs.

Nostalgia Kit Bird Card with Heidi Bound

IMG_1927

WOW! Can you believe that Nostalgia Kit from Your Memories Here is STILL ticking? I LOVE using new items with my "stash" of great art supplies. Here is another card that I created using the goodies from that kit. I combined the Nostalgia papers, trims and bling with that gorgeous bird stamp from my stash. Wondering how I colored the image? I used my markers to color the stamp, did a quick "huff" of warm breath to moisten it and then stamped away. I am so excited with how this turned out. I can't wait to dig into my beautiful stamp collection and create away!

Mixed Media apron

Hi friends! Yay for the weekends...Phew! we MADE it....again...LOL
I'm sharing with you today an apron I made thursday night. I received my latest order from Your Memories Here that included an adorable canvas apron by Prima. I saw a mixed media apron someone had created on Pinterest recently and it really peaked my curiosity to try and do one of my own for myself. SO! I took out some Adirondack color wash dye ink sprays along with some stencils and went to town! Here's what I came up with:

So what do you think? I am just pleased as punch the
way it turned out. Thank you so much for joining me
today and I hope you enjoy your weekend!!

Okay, so I'm not too big to humble myself when I make a boo-boo. It dawned on me after I designed the apron, "hmmm, I wonder if I should have washed that first?" DUH!!! YES!! You are..it washes off some sort of sizing. HERE'S some great tips that I should have read BEFORE hand but, you know me?!! Learning the hard way! So, after washing my beautiful mixed media apron, it became like brand new again... :o( Here's the updated version and as you can see, I hurried a little more with it and ran out of waxed paper I was using to mask the areas so ended up improvising which didn't really bode too well LOL. Hence, the areas of over spray. Which, in all honesty, I like even better. It's messy...just like me! :P Oh well, Live and Learn as they say! Don't forget to heat set it too after your done! Another boo-boo I made.

Card #3 Using That Amazing Nostalgia Kit

IMG_1913

Card #3 using the Nostalgia Kit from Your Memories Here! I seriously can't believe how many projects I have made using just this one kit. For this card, I used some of the great papers and trims. I also used that super cute daisy die cut. I gave it a unique feel by adding Crackle Accents to give it that aged vibe. I added that little "hope" chipboard that was in my stash. This is the perfect card for someone that may be going through a tough time. It's a simple way to let someone know "I am thinking about you".

A crafty tag

Happy Saturday all! So glad to be back today sharing another creation and this time, I thought I would share my other tag I created using some Prima products purchased from Your Memories Here.
To create this tag, I stamped the Prima doll stamp onto flesh colored CS then cut her out, colored her hair in with Ranger Distress Markers then stamped the doll image again onto some patterned DP and paper pieced her dress. I created the Prima tag pad using my new gelli plate and some acrylic paint. I also used a Unity Stamps sentiment. Furthermore, I added some texture paste through a stencil for some added features. In addition, I embossed her and hair and shoes using some glossy accents. The embellishments are all Prima including the seam binding and lace. That's it! Isn't she the cutest??! I just LOVE these doll stamps and you can pick some up for yourself if you'd like! Just visit Kristina at Your Memories Here to get started today!

Using UP The Nostalgia Kit-Card #2

IMG_1896

I am STILL loving that Nostalgia Kit from Your Memories Here! I am determined to use it until there are only scraps of paper left. Today, I am sharing a card that I made with the kit. I was able to break out a few stamps from my stash that I haven't used in ages! What I love about cards is that I have the chance to use things that I may have forgotten about. Just a little creative hint...if you are like me, you get stuck on how to get started with layouts for cards. Such a small space can be so overwhelming, right?! I LOVE Pinterest and have an entire board devoted to cards. I pin them for different reasons: some I like the layout, maybe it's the color scheme, perhaps some product that I haven't used in awhile. So, check out Your Memories Here Nostalgia Kit and my Card Board at Pinterest for LOTS of artsy card inspiration.

TAG!! Your IT!!

....okay...so it can be a little challenging coming up with clever blog titles sometimes....LOL
How are ya my friends?! Glad we made it to the weekend?? I sure am! It's so nice
when I can find time to play in the ol' craft room! and here's what I created for you
this time using some fantastic crafting supplies from Your Memories Here where fun and
creating go hand in hand!
This is a tag that I had a real good time creating. Firstly, I started on my ranger mat with some Ranger
Distress stains for which I then proceeded to mist with water then apply to the tag using a sweeping motion.
Next, I dried it using my Ranger heat tool. Then, I inked up a Prima stamp with some Ranger distress embossing ink, stamped it onto the tag, applied some Ranger Distress embossing powder, then zapped again with the heat tool.. Lastly, I began to apply the Prima embellishments. Some of the sentiments are Prima packaging material that I upcycled. I tend to keep every bit of the pkging to use later on projects simply because they're so beautiful! and why waste it right??! The wood embellishments are colored with Ranger Distress stains and Adirondack color wash. Furthermore, the seam binding was colored with Ranger distress stain as well. I did this at an earlier time while at the Sweet Retreat. I think that's it! SO! make sure you check out Kristina's crafting goodness to enable you to create some fantastic projects for yourself today! Have a great week and thank you so much for joining me today!!
