Beauty Album - YMH Out Of The Blue Kit

Hi YMH fans!  I hope you all had a wonderful holiday!  Dana here today sharing a mini album I created with the gorgeous Out Of The Blue Kit. This beautiful kit features papers from the Prima Fairy Belle collection as well as Prima flowers,  alphabet stickers and rhinestones. I used a Prima album that I had in my stash and some additional embellishments from my Prima Grab Bag.

The focal point of my flower cluster is one of my favorite flowers, a Prima Bravo bloom. I added a decorative pin to the flower center.

I added texture to the cover with Gesso, Molding Paste and a Prima Stencil.  I also highlighted the embellishments with a few quick strokes of Gesso to give my cover a more shabby feel.  I brushed the edges of this cover with some Vintage Photo Distress Ink.

I used a similar design for the inside pages of this album.  I lightly misted the acrylic pages with Tattered Angels Glimmer Mist in Silver Sugar, Spring Rain and Puerto Rico.  I wanted a pale shimmery base that would give my pages an ethereal look.  I then used a Prima Stencil and Gesso to paint the flourish pattern on each page.

Thanks so much for stopping by today! Be sure to check out the Your Memories Here Store.  There is a great selection of Kits available! A selection of Prima Grab Bags are now 50% off to make way for the new releases which will soon be available!

Doesn't he know it's on every scrappers wish list?  Maybe it's because he's not really sure just which crafty supplies I'd like to have or which ones I already own? But if you're like me any Prima is good Prima!

It's a very good friend of mine and her daughter at her wedding. It's not a posed picture....just a moment of pure love I was lucky enough to catch on film. A Dreamy Pup...with Prima

Good Saturday to you! Well! Christmas is only a few days away!! EEK! Are you ready?!? I'm NOT! LOL We still have some shopping left to do and of COURSE, I happen to catch a stinkin' cold! Oh well, I don't think it could be avoided this time of year. Anyways! I'm not here to talk about me! heeheehee I'm here to share with you a project I created with my sweet pup Pinky modeling for me. Pinky is quite a character and truly a love. She has her own very distinctive personality and LOVES her naps. I couldn't help but snap this picture of her a little while back and I've been wanting to do something with it. I got to thinking about all the beautiful Prima goodies I have to play with that I purchased previously at Your Memories Here that comes in a Prima Goody Bag. If you've never played with some Prima products, now is the perfect time to add it to your last minute Christmas list. They make wonderful projects and fabulous gift giving items! Here, I used a dollar store frame and some watercolor paper to create the perfect background. I applied some Faber-Castell Gelatos to the WC paper then blended the rich colors in with a water brush. Next, I stamped over the bkgd with a Prima stamp inked up with metallic gold ink. I blew it dry with my heat tool and then adhered it down to some Prima DP. I then began to add the Prima embellishments with the canvas pieces being colored with the gelatos as well and then blended with water. I decided to go over the whole thing with some Matte Multi-Medium for a completed look and added strength. In addition, I adhered the flowers down with some Helmar's. The "dreamy" journal card is a Live With Prima Freebie and the Dream adhesive chipboard piece is also Prima. I really enjoyed putting this together and it would make a lovely gift for someone as well.. So, make sure you check out Kristina's store today and pick you up some Prima deliciousness!!

Noel Tag - Prima North Country

Hi YMH fans!  Dana here today. I'm counting down the days to Christmas and the end of my holiday crafting. I'm sharing my last holiday tag for the year.  I used patterned paper from Prima's North Country collection and a handful of festive embellishments.  All the supplies for this tag came in various Prima Grab Bags and Kits from the Your Memories Here Store.

I this this Gem Branch looks just like a Christmas tree. I added rhinestones to several of the gems for some extra sparkle.

I used this clothespin to hold the leaves to the top of this tag and then covered the end with a flower.

Thanks for stopping by today!  If you're looking to pick up some sparkly supplies or pretty papers for your holiday crafting, be sure to check out the Your Memories Here Store.  There are plenty of deals to be found in the Sale and Clearance sections.  There are also new Live With Prima Kits available which make fabulous holiday gifts!

a Christmas tag.

Hi everyone! Christmas is almost here! Are you all ready? I whipped up a last minute tag this week. I used a bunch of papers from the Joyeux Noel Glitz 6" paper pack. I just am loving these 6x6 pads.

So to make this tag, you'll need a bunch of squares. I used my square punch. You'll fold down three of the corners. Then you just layer them on the tag in an alternating pattern. It's super easy.

I tried to take a couple of photos from a different angle so you can see all of the layers. You can always stop by my blog to see more details of my projects.

Thanks for stopping by this week! Enjoy your holiday.

Distress Stain - Tag Tutorial

Hi everyone, Nancy here!  Today I wanted to share with you a few tags I made using some Ranger Distress Stains and miscellaneous goodies (many from my Prima Grab Bag at Your Memories Here) I had lying on my desk.   This is a fun technique and I can't wait to share it with you using this simple tutorial.  Kristina is working as we speak to add the Metallic stains to the store as we speak.  hee hee

You will need some Distress Stains, including the newer Metallic stains, a craft mat, and your tag.
Add a bit of the colored stain and the metallic stain side by side...don't worry, the stains are designed not to pick up other colors, so you won't contaminate your bottle if the two colors mix.
Run your tag through the puddle of mist.  Remember that Distress Stains are water based, so if you want the colors to blend and flow a bit more, you can just spritz with a bit of water.
Don't forget...you can also stain a bit of ribbon or seam binding to match.
And here are my finished tags.  I used my Prima Press to stamp out the "to/froms" along with lots of goodies from my grab bag.  I always love having a mix of fun goodies around to add to projects like this.
Just look at the gorgeous sparkle and shine on what would have otherwise been a plain, red tag.
 And a bit of green....
You can mix the different metallics with the same stains to get a variety of textures and colors.
I am doing all brown paper packages this year under the tree and hope that these tags hope to brighten things up a bit.

Hugs.

Nancy

Time is Fleeting...( a very special canvas)

Hello Your Memories Here fans! Emily here this afternoon with a canvas I made using some beautiful products from the store

This piece is especially precious to me in the wake of the shooting in Connecticut. As a parent, my heart goes out to each and every parent of the children lost, the surviving children and their families. It also goes out to the families of the educators who so heroically gave their lives to protect those babies. I have prayed every day since, and will continue to do so.

This piece is a reminder that our time is fleeting, so we must always hold on to those we love.

This piece is very dear to me, and I hope that the message means as much to you as it does to me.

Here are a few more close ups of the piece.

Clock and Love charm from Summer CHA 2012 Grab Bag

Thank you for taking the time to visit and look at my canvas. Remember to hug those you love, and tell them so... time goes by so very fast.

I will leave you with this quote from President Obama's speech regarding the shooting:

“May God bless the memory of the victims, and in the words of Scripture, heal the brokenhearted and bind up their wounds.”

A Birthday Gift

Happy Saturday my fellow crafting friends! I am here with another Saturday creation for you with fun goodies purchased at Your Memories Here. I needed to create something to give to my sister for her birthday and decided to make a small canvas that she can hang or prop up on her work desk. Something to brighten her day. For this, I pulled out my Prima grab bag supplies and created a collage against a stretched canvas background colored with Ranger Distress Stains. All of the embellishments are adhered down with Helmar's 450 glue. As for the rhinestones, I used Say it in Crystals. The pearls are from the Prima goody bag. I hope she will enjoy it for years to come and I appreciate you stopping by to visit. Remember, now is a perfect time of year to stock up on supplies for the coming year. Not to mention the lovely Prima Kits that Kristina offers can be used for fabulous gift giving. Enjoy the rest of your day!

Love You Card - Faber-Castell Gelatos

Hi!  Dana here today sharing a quick and simple card. I'm a big fan of Glitz Design Paper Layers and I chose one for the background of this card.  I loved the image, but I wanted to add more color and some sparkle. I selected a few Gelatos from my set and a bottle of Tattered Angels Iridescent Gold Glimmer Mist and colored my paper with a few quick and easy steps.

I picked Gelatos in Metallic Mint, Lemon and Red Cherry.

Next, I randomly scribbled my Gelatos directly on to my craft mat.

I then lightly spritzed my craft mat with mist and blended the colors a bit with my finger. I wet my Gelatos with Tattered Angels Glimmer Mist to add extra shine to my card.  If you prefer a less shimmery project, water can be used instead.

I carefully pressed my Paper Layer, image side down, onto my pool of color.  Then, I gently lifted the paper off my craft mat.  Once my Paper Layer was dry, I added it and some simple embellishments to my card.

I love the subtle color and shimmer of this card!  The Prima Typo Bulbs are so fun! Thanks for stopping by today!

Supplies: Paper Layer: Glitz Design; Typo Bulb: Prima; Gelatos: Faber-Castell; Mist: Tattered Angels; Ink: Ranger; Other: Twine, Cardstock

filled with joy.

Hey guys! I'm sharing a layout I made with the Glitz Design 6x6 paper pack from Joyeaux Noel. This photo is of my brother & I last Christmas.

The holly berries were popped off the page with the 1/2 inch Zap Dots.  I also added a couple of red
Prima's Center Kisses in the bottom corner. The snowflakes were embossed with some silver Zing embossing powder and Tim Holtz clear embossing distress ink.

Thanks for stopping by!
