My tag for you this week.

Ok ladies here is my tag for this week. Sorry Im getting it posted so late but its been a crazy busy day. Anyhow I embossed a french script stam in the back ground and used a blue and brown ink over it over it. I cut the birdcage and bird image out of patterned cardsock. I used a piece of Prima lace in cream chenile across the bottom under the birdcage. I used a dew drop in Orchid in the middle of the dictionary paper flower I made. The smaller green and blue flowers are Prima as well and come frome the Sweet and Sassy clueless collection. I just love the way the tiny Prima flowers add so much to this tag. Bunnies in My Garden

Good Morning All. This will be my last Tuesday post. Starting next week our Guest Designer will be posting on Tuesdays. As I announced last week, our Guest Designer for April is Kandi Phillips. So be sure to check out Kandi's first post next Tuesday.

I've got a couple of cute bunnies for you this morning (it's actually the same one, I just colored him two different ways, thus two different cards)

His name is Rupert and he is a Squigglefly Digi stamp. I colored him with my Touch markers and mounted him on card stock from the Imaginisce Build-a-Card pad. I cut out the eggs on my Cricut with the Doodlecharms cartridge then I embossed each one with my Cuttlebug and the following embossing folders: Swiss Dots, Argyle, Perfect Paisley and D'Vine Swirls (all of these are in stock at Your Memories Here). I added a little bit of glitter to each egg for extra sparkle :)

In case you don't like gray hares (Sorry, I couldn't resist the pun) Here's Rupert in white. Again I colored him with my Touch markers and the background card stock is from the Imaginisce Build-a-Card pad. The flowers are all Prima (the tiny ones are Sweet-and-Sassy "tweener" collection) The pretty pearl in the center of the larger flowers is a Silverbells Dew Drop. I like to glue those on with Ranger's Glossy Accents, it seem to hold them the best.

Even though I'm not going to be posting on Tuesdays anymore, I'll still be back every Saturday for my regularly scheduled post ;)

Little Love

I love this little hippo Snag'em Stamp that you can get for only $0.75 cents at Your Memories Here! It makes great baby cards or even birthday would be cute. For my card I did a neutral gender baby card and added lots of little embossed squares to give kind of a quilt like feel. The Cuttlbug embossing folders I used were Swiss Dots and Moroccan Screen. For Your New Place

Here's a card I made for my Aunt who just got a new appartment.
You gotta love that cat squeezing through his little kitty door! It's a digi stamp from Lily-Boo's boutique. I colored it with my new ShinHan Touch markers. I am still learning how to color with them, but I'm loving them so far. The background card stock is from the Imaginisce Build-a-Card pad. The pretty blue embossed paper was done in my Cuttlebug with the candy cane embossing folder (it's not just for Christmas projects). I've got lots of Cuttlebug embossing folders in stock at Your Memories Here.

Crafty Kid

Hi everyone,I was showing my friend's 10 year-old daughter some Cricut basics so we made this little hair clip holder:

We used the Everyday Paper Dolls cartridge.  We cut the doll base at 4" as well as the cheerleader outfit & accessories. We cut a piece of ribbon & glued it to the back of the paper doll. Then we simply clipped her hair bows to the ribbon. No more lost clips!

Vintage Card

Here is my vintage card for this week. I used the Rosey Nook papers on the front and inside of this card. The Rosey Nook papers can be found at www.yourmemorieshere.com. I added lace to the card to give it a more vintage feel. I also add the Rosey Nook paper on the inside under the lace. I edged distressed the card in brown ink to finish it off. Baby Shower Card

Here's a card I made for a friend's baby shower. I also made her a scrapbook for the baby's first year (all the details for that are on my blog).

The little baby feet are embossed using the Pebbles baby stencil set (there's a how to video for that on my YouTube channel) Then I lightly went over the embossed image with some Pebbles Chalks. I used my Cuttlebug Swiss Dots embossing folder for the second layer.

Ice Cream, it's your Birthday!

Good Monday to you! I have a pretty little birthday card to share with you today using some fabulous Your Memories Here products. Isn't that icecream cone the sweetest? It's a snag 'em stamp as is the cute round, Happy Birthday sentiment. I also used some Dew Drops and pulled out one of my Cuttlebug Frills embossing border folders for my border strip. The paper is called Rosy Nook. I added some piercing around my image to make it pop a bit more and of course some Stickles. April Guest Designer

Easter Flowers Card

Hey everyone! I hope you are having a great Friday!

Today, I have a simple Easter card for you.

This card was made using some flowers from the Prima Hydrangea Bouquet - Pink Lavender available at the YMH store..

I made the marquee shapes using the Cricut Expression with the Cricut Forever Young cartridge. I just repeated the same shape, but used a half and inch larger size for the yellow one.

The accents on the egde are White Dew drops from the following set: Solid White, Black and Metallic Silver dew drops available at the YMH store.

For Mamá

Hi everyone!
It's Karli, with a layout I created for my friend's mom.
Here it is:

It's a simple layout because I didn't want to hide the beautiful detailed background cut-out. For this layout, I used the Mother's Day Cricut Cart (a Limited Edition Solutions cart).  It has absolutely beautifully intricate images. I cut the floral background on "fit to page" using the gorgeous glittered Mimosa Papers by SEI. I LOVE SEI. They know how to design beautiful papers that make it easy to create beautiful things.

I used 3 patterned papers from the Mimosa pack, but they all flow together nicely. I cut "Mamá" at 4" and inked around the edges. I also used the Pebbles Inc. Shimmer chalks on the leaves to give it a hint of shimmer.

I cut the flower 3 times at 2" and did the pom pom flower technique---> HERE.

3 Genrations of Love

Here is a layout of my mom, Grandma and me. This layout means alot to me as my Grandma has now passed away. I started first by using my french script stamp all over the background paper. I then took paper from Chatterbox Greenhouse Blossoms line and used my edge distresser tool. I then distressed inked the edges. I use some Prima flowers and some bling. The tiny green flower is from Prima the Sweet and Sassy Cluessless ones. The dew drops are the Flame and the Orchid. The tag says 3 generations of Love. I took some fibers in pink and brown and wrapped around the bottom of the tag.

Paint Can Swap

I participated in a paint can swap on the Cricut Message Boards. It was supposed to be an Easter themed can swap but after communicating with my partner, I learned she'd rather have her can decorated to match the theme of her scrap room. Her choice of colors were pink, brown and black and she likes vintage items. Well, here's what I created for her:

I cut out the words "dream" "imagine" and "create" on my Cricut using the SCAL software. The flowers are all Prima and some of the flower centers are dew drops (which are on sale). I embossed the paper on the top of the can lid with my Cuttlebug Swiss Dots embossing folder. The flower on top of the can is hand made except for the two flowers in the center those are from the Chelsea accents tin from Prima.

I hope my swap partner likes her can. It's traveling with the USPS some where on it's way to her right now.

Paper Pieced Die Cuts

Good Monday to you:) My card today was the result of playing around with paper piecing some die cut images. It is a bit tedious and you end up cutting the same cut multiple times, but I think the results are fun and worth the time. This is a pretty simple card using A Child's Year cartridge that I paper pieced together. I would recommend when doing this technique and there is a skin tone color you need, to cut that as your base and build the rest around that. I used some products that you can find for a great price at Your Memories Here. The wonderful Swiss Dots embossing folder, a Prima flower and of course the Cricut cartridge. I hope you like it!

Fast and Easy

I made this birthday card in just a couple of minutes.

I was packing up a batch of cookies to send off to a special birthday boy (OK really he's 82) when I realized I hadn't made him a card (I have a box of cards that I've previously made, but they are all feminine). So I scrambled to my scrap room, grabbed my Imaginisce Build-a-Card pad, selected the card stock you see here (cuz it's a cheery, colorful, birthday kind of pattern) adhered the American Crafts "happy birthday" ribbon, then picked out a stamped image that I had laying around, already colored, and found a sentiment stamp that coordinated with it. I stamped it, then inked the edges, adhered them and DONE! True story I swear. That is why I LOVE the Build-a-Card pad, it can make creating a card as easy or complicated as you want. A variety of great patterned, pre-scored card stock that you can jazz up as much as you desire or use the ready made sentiment stickers(that are included) and be done in no time.

Lil' Slugger

Hi everyone!
It's Karli, with a 12x12 page to share with ya. It's a pic of my baby when he was 3 months old.

The Deets:

I faux stitched around the edges of the cardstock & added white buttons to each corner. I cut thin strips of red cardstock & threaded them through the button holes. I used my Cricut to embellish it. I used Opposites Attract Cricut Cart for the font & Sports Mania for the baseballs & bat border. I inked around the edges & stitching on the baseballs to give them that worn look. It's a simple page, but I wanted to keep it about the picture, of course.

My Flower Tag

I feel bad ladies that all I have today is a tag, but it has been one of those crazy days. Anyhow I made this tag that could be used for a layout, in a mini album or on a scrapbook page for journaling. It is a shipping tag that I covered with paper from Chatterbox Rosey Nook Plaid collection. I lightly stamped a french script stamp on top of that. I took a Prima Hydrangea flower and ran some brown ink over it, just to soften it a bit. I then add it to the center of the tag and added some glitter glue in the center. I stamped the word imagaine at the bottom of the tag. I distressed the edges with my distressing tool and inked them for some depth. It may be hard to see from the pictures but I also added some glitter glue to some of the flowers on the Rosey Nook Plaid paper by Chatterbox available at Your Memories Here. To finish off the tag I added some brown and green ribbon and fibers.

No Project, New Papers

Computer issues are preventing me from posting a project at the moment. I hope to have it resolved sometime today. In the meantime, I'm going to share with you some images of the SEI paper pads that are arriving today at Your Memories Here.

Mommy Is My Name

I so enjoyed creating this LO. I used lots of fun and pretty products on this LO, many that can be purchased at Your Memories Here. The Cricut cartridges I used were the spring mini, Mother's Day and Lyrical Letters and Home Decor. I also used my favorite Dew Drops and some Prima flowers. To add some extra texture I used the Swiss Dots and Damask embossing folders.

The paper is some of the prettiest I have ever seen and I am proud of myself for actually using it and not just hoarding it;) It's a piece from the DCWV Mariposa stack. All I can say is if you love butterflies and vintage colors you will adore this paper as much as I do. It was lovely to scrap a recent pic of me with my kids, don't you notice once you have kids you are never in any of the pictures?! I really enjoyed journaling about what the name "mommy" means to me and was reminded all over again how incredibly thankful I am that I get to be a mom. I hope you have a wonderful day, and thank you so much for your comments, they truly do brighten my day!

Cricut Clock

Happy Saturday everyone. I have a special guest designer today that helped create this project. Her name is Marlee and she is 4 years old.

She wanted to build a clock for her bedroom so her dad and I helped her make one. Here are the steps: First we cut out a template on the Cricut using a 12x24 mat and paper. She wanted it to be an oval so we used the George and basic shapes cartridge at 14" and 13" on "portrait mode" Then her dad traced the templates onto a piece of pine. The cut it out together on the scroll saw.

After they cut it, Marlee sanded the wood smooth.

She painted the cut out pieces of wood purple to match her bedroom.

She chose the Opposites Attract font for the numbers from my Cricut cartridge and wanted them to be green to match her bedroom walls. Then she decided she'd like to have a daisy by each number (totally her decision) So I used the daisy from the Walk in My Garden Cartridge. She also chose the colors. (I'm so impressed with her design skills)

After we glued all the paper cut outs down we coated the clock face with 3 coats of Modge Podge. Between the second and third coat, I sprinkled a little purple glitter all over the face of the clock.

Here is her completed clock hanging on her bedroom wall.
