Welcome Sign

I drug out all my fall and Halloween totes and my welcome sign I made last year was all bent and wonky so I used the scrap piece of paper from the round fall hanging I got from Your Memories Here and did a dark color wash over it to change it up a bit. I adhered it to a piece of cereal box cardboard to add some stability and distressed the edges with my scissors. I painted over the edges with ink and color wash to add to the distressed look. I generously sprayed wheatfields glimmer mist over the entire thing, even the flower to add some sparkle and it does have a very pretty sheen to it. I needed something for my Prima pearls so I made this flower out of a piece of scrap fabric and added some Prima leaves. YMH has an awesome selection of Prima and gorgeous paper for you to make your own fall welcome sign. Why buy something when you can make your own...right? I will be sure to pack this away more carefully! Hope you have a fabulous day!
  See you next Thursday! :)

Three Little Monkeys 8x8 page

Hi it's Jess from  KinderStampO. This past week was a little wacky since I was traveling on business and immediately came back to celebrate my daughter's Sweet 16.  When I finally got a chance to get back into my craft room I thought I needed to make something for my kids.

This page was so much fun to make.  I used the Cricut Create a Critter cartridge and just got to cutting. I haven't added the pics yet but I plan on cutting their my kids faces out of a pic and placing it behind the monkey faces. As you can see the top layer of the monkey slides open :)

Hope you like it.

Retirement Card

Happy Tuesday (well, at least we've got Monday out of the way) Kristina here today with a card.
This is a first for me, a retirement card. I wasn't sure what to put for the sentiment other than 'Congratulations on your Retirement' not at all original but served the purpose.
I apologize for the glare but the glimmer mist just catches the light of the flash no matter what angle I try to shoot it at.
I used DCWV Mariposa patterned card stock for the back ground. I stamped some plain ivory card stock with a script background stamp using sable brown Staz-on then sprayed it with Piece of Heart glimmer mist. I cut two ovals using my Cricut, the green one at 4" and the glimmer misted one at 3 3/4" The sentiment was printed on my computer then I went over it with embossing powder and heat embossed it. The three little roses are Prima mini roses in sunrise yellow, we have those roses in a great variety of colors at Your Memories Here.
Thanks for stopping by today.

On My Mind

Happy new week to you! Hope you had a great weekend:) My card today uses some gorgeous SEI paper and a lovely Prima stamp, both of which you can get at Your Memories Here. I also used my Cricut to cut the branch and bird cage. I decided I *had* to have the Bloom Cricut Lite cartridge from Walmart and love it. The kraft color patterned paper is very shimmery in person and I lightly stamped the damask that is on the sentiment tag on to it also to help tie in the bit of pink. The frame is from the Prima Wings stamp set that I stamped in Distress ink and then trimmed out. To finish it off I added some pearls and some punched butterflies. Have a wonderful day!

Love Deeply - Vintage Framed Quote

Happy Sunday everyone! Hope everyone is having a fab weekend...me, I am planning on watching some football with the hubby today & enjoy the fall weather that has finally found its way to our area! I also want to share with you my crafty little project for this week featuring some Prima, Tattered Angels, & SEI products that can all be found in the Your Memories Here Store!

I have this lovely vintage frame a friend gave me & I try to do something different with it for each season. For fall, I decided to focus on some blues, greens & browns & this beautiful quote in my stamp stash that I adore. I love this quote because it reflects the love that my family shares & our belief that in our home, love can heal all things. All of the paper I used is by SEI, except the green scallop edged paper which is left over Prima packaging...I love re-using my packaging - especially Prima's since it is always so gorgeous! I used my Tattered Angels Glimmer Mist on the entire project & it all has such a lovely shimmer to it, especially the butterfly which I sprayed with some Pearl Glimmer Mist. The butterfly is probably my fav detail on this project & it is a gorgeous Prima stamp that I double stamped, cut out, & pop dotted for a great 3-D effect. The ribbon, crystals, pearls, leaves & roses are also all by Prima. The ribbon was a cream color, but I just used my Tattered Angels Glimmer Mist to make it fit my project...which is why I am crazy in love with my glimmer mist. I can use it on products I already have to suit what my needs are vs. always buying new products. How cool is that?! I also used some rub on butteflies in my stash to finish up the project..they seemed to add the right finishing touch!

Thanks so much for taking the time out to check out my project for this week - and hanging with me through a lengthy post since I can get pretty wordy at times! LOL! If you want, hop on over to my blog for some more details & to click the link showing my spring project for this same vintage frame. Also, please make sure to check out the YMH Store for all your crafty shopping needs! There really are some fabulous items there at very amazing prices...plus some new items are in stock & they are super fun! Until next week, Happy Scrappin' friends!

Fall is coming

I decided to put together a cute little gift set (at least I think that's what you can call it) for today's project. I card with a matching corner bookmark. The tree stamp, lace, half pearls, and the designer paper can all be found at the YMH store. She really does have some great stuff and I can't wait to get my latest order from here :) So many things I have planned for it and I'm hoping work with slow down enough to allow me to really play. Fall is in the air and I felt like creating something for it :)

I got this supe cute tree from YMH that I thought would go perfect with this little outdoor theme I've created. To give it a little rustic look I used the cracked glass technique after I sponged the edges. It turned out perfect! I also decided to add some brown half pearls from YMH to the butterflies bodies to give them a little something extra. The lace and designer paper also came from YMH.

The butterfly is popped up on thicker foam while the tree image is on the thinner foam to fit over the lace.

I just loved the background I created on the card and the effect of the cracked glass with the image that I decided to create a little corner bookmark that I've been seeing lately. I used the same cute little tree image and stamped the background so that it could be paired with the card. I added some faux stitching around the bookmark and used a border punch. This is my first time in making one of these, and I discovered that they were fairly use to make. I so see more of these in my future for my book loving friends.

My Journal

Hello! Today's post is a journal I made with chipboard and regular copy paper. The beautiful paper I got from Your Memories Here. You can also find the little roses there too. I sprayed glimmer mist liberally over the whole thing and even painted over the bird and letters for an extra pop of sparkle. There are LOTS of awesome things at the web store! Make sure you check out the Live with Prima kits!
I hope you create yourself a fabulous day! See ya next Thursday!

Another Birthday Button

Hi, Kristina here with a late Tuesday post. It's been a crazy busy day here. Lilee started pre-school today and Marlee also goes every day so I get to drive to and from the school 4 times a day every Tuesday and Thursday. Yesterday was Lilee's 3rd birthday, so I made her a birthday button to wear to school too (remember Marlee's from last Tuesday?)

I used my Cricut to cut out the circle base for the button and the number 3. I sprayed the circle with some glimmer mist for extra shimmer then I hot glued some pieces of Pebbles ribbon to it. Next I added a large pink Prima flower from a mini can. I added pink rhinestones to the 3 and glued it on top of the flower.
Thanks for stopping in today.

Papa

Papa is what my kids call their grandpa, and I just had to scrap this picture of all of us together. I used some wonderful patterned paper, Prima flowers and Prima self adhesive pearls, Damask embossing folder and my Cricut to create this LO. All these fabulous supplies can be purchased at Your Memories Here. We have had a tradgedy in the family early this weekend, an uncle was in a serious accident and is on life support, it does not look good. If you would say a prayer for us as we all go through this and be sure to tell your family you love them, you just never know when it might be the last time. Hugs....

Laugh: Framed Canvas LO

Hey y'all! Happy Sunday evening! Sorry I'm late with my post this week but I've had some Internet issues over the weekend...ugh. However, it is better late than never...especially since I am super psyched about my project this week! I absolutely love how it turned out & can't wait to showcase it in my soon to be redesigned hall!

All of the products featured on my project are from the Your Memories Here Store & are manufactured by either Prima or Tattered Angels. I was so very happy to showcase these fabulous items as they are some of my favorites! I began with a 12x12 Canvas by Prima & then layered on some masks I made using leftover Cricut cuts. Then, I used my Tattered Angels Glimmer Mist to liberally spray around my masks & splatter a little too. I know I have mentioned it many times, but I absolutely love my glimmer mist! This stuff is soooo versatile!

While waiting for that to dry, I used my Tattered Angels Glimmer Mist in Pearl to spray my Prima Cancan flowers & mini roses, but I didn't spray my Prima leaves. However, I did mist some on my frame to give it a little oomph...yes, you can use glimmer mist on metal! It is wonderful for so many types of surfaces including metal & acrylic, which is awesome. The bling that I added is from the Prima Say It In Crystals line & I also used some leftover Prima packaging, after glimmer misting it, for my hidden journaling. The stitched fabric letters are by Donna Downey & they were amazing to work with too.

I love how the focus of the LO remains on a recent photo of my hubby & me...and so does the hubby! I love it when he gets as excited about a project as I do! LOL! I hope you enjoy my LO this week & that it helps inspire you to create one of your own. Also, thanks for bearing with me through my lengthy post & lots of photos! Feel free to visit my blog for more information & to take a peek at some of my other projects too...I would love it! I hope everyone has a fabulously crafty week & don't forget to check back tomorrow for Leah's regular awesome post! Make sure to check out the Your Memories Here Store for all of your crafty needs!! Until next week, Happy Craftin' my friends!

Shabby Autumn

Here's another shabby card for ya'll. I'm really likeing this style, and it works so well with the autumn/fall season that is upon us. It so fun trying out new styles and techniques. The flower I created for my card is a bigger version of the flower you can find at my post here. I really love that it was made from a paperbag and that it was so easy to make. The paper took the glimmer mist so well too. I use Tattered Angels Golden Terracotta and Tiger Lily (you can find many colors at Your Memories Here). I only wish the pictures could do the glimmer justice. The paper used came from YMH as well, and I really like how it lends itself to not only autumn/fall season but the shabby chic style too. The lace ribbon I used for the leaves and the edge of the DP strip and the three half perals is from YMH and can be found under Prima (and who doesn't love them some Prima right, lol). For the center of my flowers I used a clear epoxy circle thingy that I stuck on top of a 1/2" circle I punched out of some DP. Just a little something extra to a already cute flower.

Corner Bookmark

Hi everyone!
Today, I have really easy project- that if you haven't tried- you really should! It's soooo super easy & practical! It's a Corner Bookmark.
Here it is:

The Deets:
To begin, I was inspired by the little fleur de lys-type design on the pattern paper. So to coordinate, I embossed the cardstock with the Fleur de Lis Cuttlebug Embossing folder (luuuuv this design!) and also used a coordinating punch along the edge. The patterned paper is called Cosmo- Urban Cosmo by Prima and I also used a strip of the Colony- Urban Cosmos Prima Paper.
This is what Cosmo looks like:
I cut out 1 of the elements to create the focal point of the bookmark.
I added a 2 Prima flowers layered together (Mini-Rose & Hydrangea). I tucked a couple of Rose Leaves on the sides as well. To finish, I simply added a few Prima pearls. Could not be easier!
Here it is in action:
It is marking the page to one of my fav Rachael Ray recipes: Bacon-Wrapped Meatloaf Patties with Pan Gravy and Sour Cream-Tomato Smashed Potatoes. That's a mouthful, huh!

All the supplies used to make this bookmark can be found at the YMH Store and more deets on my blog.
Thanks so much for peeking!
Gotta Go!

Birthday Badge

Hi! Today's project has been inspired by a special little girl's 5th birthday - which is today!

My daughter is the stereotypical girly girl, she loves all things flowery, princessy, and sparkly. Her favorite colors are purple and pink (in that order) and she loves to dress up. So I made her this flower birthday badge to wear today, for her birthday.
Yes, it's as big as it looks! I used a huge Prima flower from a mini can as the base for my design and for some extra sparkle I sprayed it with glimmer mist. The number 5 was cut out on my Cricut with the Mickey font. I also sprayed it with glimmer mist (pomegranate) and then added tons of tiny pink rhinestones. The Princess crown is a snag 'em stamp that I stamped then embossed with glitter embossing powder, cut it out and added 3 purple rhinestones. To assemble the whole thing I cut out a 2" circle of chipboard, gathered some pink tulle and hot glued it to the chipboard then hot glued the flowers, then the crown and finally the 5.
It might be a bit much for some, but Marlee loves it and can't wait to wear it to preschool today!

Edited to add photos of the birthday girl.

Candy Flowers

Good Monday:) Today I have a card to share with you using some pretty SEI paper and a Halloween stamp with a different twist. I decided to *cut* apart the Snag'em candy stamp (gasp!) because I saw cute little flowers! I'm not super big into Halloween, so turning a candy stamp like this into flowers suited me much better;) I stamped one of the candy pieces 4 times inking the stem in green first and then the rose like top in purple. I then added some distress ink to the bottom to act as my ground and stamped a few cute clouds, my sentiment, embossed and punched some butterflies and finished it off with adding a Dew Drop to the center of each flower.
Don't be afraid to re-purpose certian supplies, even stamps, if you see it differently than how it was intended! Have a wonderful day:)

Good Times!

Happy Sunday everyone! And for those of you who are football fans like us, yay for Opening Day! There's nothing quite like fall, football, & food! Well, except crafting'...and today I am here to share with you a LO featuring some awesome products you can get in the Your Memories Here Store.

For this LO of my hubby & I, plus a couple of friends, I used a fabulous piece of shimmery patterned paper by SEI. Isn't it gorgeous?! I also used some additional SEI paper for my diecut circle, which I distressed & generously sprayed with Tattered Angels Glimmer Mist. I actually went pretty loco with my Tattered Angels Glimmer Mist on this LO by using it as well on the lollipop flowers, the journaling spot, & the corrugated cardboard alphas. Remember, the YMH Store has an amazing supply of Tattered Angels Glimmer Mist that is perfect for so many projects...plus, the new Glitter Glam is in stock too! The flower centers are some beautiful Prima E-line Pearls that I have become quite fond of lately. There is also some new Prima products/kits in stock in the YMH Store...so make sure to check them out!

Shabby Blue Bird

It's my day at Your Memories Here and I've created a cute little card for ya'll. I thought I would try my hand at the whole Shabby Chic style again. YMH has this beautiful shimmery paper called Lovebirds by SEI that has birdcages, birds, and keys on one side while the back side is a solid copper color (both sides shimmer). I paired up the paper with some cream lace found at YMH and some Maya Road chipboard cut outs that I've had for awhile but haven't really used. The base of the card is vanilla c/s with a text image stamped in Antique Linen Distress Ink and sponged on the edges to give it some age. I then dry rubbed some pearl paint to give it a little something extra when light hit. Next I punched the scallop boarder from some coral cardstock as a base for the cream lace. I raised the SEI paper on pop dots so the lace would cause any bumps underneath it.

The branch got a coat of Walnut Stain Distress Crackle Paint and then once dried I rubbed in some of the Pearl paint. My sweet little blue bird was base painted with a coral pink and then covered with Broken China Distress Crackle Paint. I love how the pink just peeks through the cracks. As a bonus, I put the paint on thick is some parts and thin in others so that I could get a variation of crack sizes. For the eye I used a light blue rhinestone from Prima that also came from YMH.

I had lots of fun with this card and it came together surprisingly fast (got love using the heat gun on the paints to quicken their drying time, lol). I think that maybe, just maybe, I'm getting the hang of this Shabby Chic thing :)
