Joy Wall Hanging

Hi everyone! It's Kristina but I'm posting Kim's project because we are having blogger issues :(
Anyway, Kim made this awesome canvas wall hanging.

The beautiful patterned paper is a Prima Journaling card (and they are already cut out into those fancy, elegant shapes)
She colored it with Glimmer Mist and made the design you see using a Glimmer Screen as her stencil. The pink strip of canvas was also colored with Glimmer Mist.

The word "joy" is Prima canvas letters as well as the lace trims and those gorgeous flowers which were also sprayed with Glimmer Mists.
I have to say, Glimmer Mists make even the most beautiful embellishments shimmer and glimmer and just take it to the next level of oomph!

If you're thinking about trying some Glimmer Mists or wanting to add to a collection you already have, you are going to want to stop in the store tomorrow for our month long Tattered Angels sale.

Jump

Happy Wednesday everyone, Nancy here.  I hope everyone is having a great day.  Me...well...I just received the fabulous Hey Sugar kit from Your Memories Here and let me say I love these colors.  I know it is technically a "Valentine's Day" kit, but the colors are so bright and cheerful; and the patterns are fabulous.  (did I mention the kit is only $10?)  I couldn't wait for the chance to jump right in and play.  And speaking of jumping......

I had a fun photo of Ainsley jumping (a favorite activity...that girl is a dare devil) and I loved the idea of using the huge letters from the kit for my title.
I also added a few Prima flowers and a bit of pom pom trim.  (the wind was blowing a bit so those pom poms have quite a bit of movement, hee hee).

So, what are you jumping into?

Hugs.

My Baby Girl Continued...

Hi and good evening! This is Emily, with the rest of my Baby Girl album that I created using the wonderful products you can find in the Your Memories Here store!

This album is full of Prima papers, flowers and trim which is all in the store. I also used lot's of Tattered Angels Glimmer Mist in the album.

Below are the remainder of my pages.

As you can see, just like the first pages I shared last week, I kept the pages pretty simple with just one or two photos a page and left room for all of my journaling. I really wanted to record my thoughts on Serenity at this age.

The album closed and on it's side... it's pretty bulky with all of those Prima flowers!

The front of the album lying down. One of the reasons the album stays together so well is becuase I used my Bind-it-All, which if you own one, you can find supplies for it in the YMH Store! I love my Bind-it-All so much! It is great for mini albums, especially ones that may be bulky after you fill them. If you use large enough O Wire, you will have plenty of room in your album!

Thank you so much for letting me share this with you! I will see you next Monday with a wall hanging that I have created for this Baby Girl's room!

Simply Spring

I wish I knew where my mojo has gone as it seems to be taking a vacation more often then I do. What frustrates me even more is that I WANT to create, but as soon as I get in the room I just can't seem to create. I even have ideas floating around in my head, but I just can't seem to get past the ideas. It is very frustrating. I was able to create this little card however.

The base is white with another white piece cut slightly smaller, embossed, sponged along the edge, and then sprayed with TA's Irridecent Gold Glitter Mist. The two pieces of patterned paper I used is from Prima's Annalle paper pad. The flower is also Prima and is in fact two Prima flowers that I simply layered on top of each other for a subtle color difference between the flower and paper. In fact, they were left over flowers from a Live with Prima class kit I got over at YMH. I really love how so much goodness comes in these kits cause there are extras almost every thime it seems. I even sprayed the flower with the same gold glimmer mist give them a little something extra. Before I glued everything together I sponged the edges with PTI's Chamomile ink from their Vintage Touch duo. Just a simple little card to welcome in Spring.

Thinking of You Book

Hello! I hope you are all having a great day! I have been at my local library all day teaching a paper bag book class to kids! It's been a long and very fun day. I had my 2 girls with me too. Whew. This project I have today is a book I made for my bff who is in New Zealand doing amazing things and spreading the word of God. I love her for that and for being so brave. She is amazing.

I used some quotes for the BGC A Little Bird Told Me emails I get and picked some that mean a lot to me and used them in this book. I hope she reads them when she feels down or misses me.

I'm sure you know YMH has awesome stuff but have you tried the Glimmer Glam by Tattered Angels yet? Well, if not you should. I love it. I used it all through this book to add some color and sparkle to my pages and to some embellishments.
I used Lipstick Pink and painted it on over my acrylic paint. I love the sparkle and there's lots of it!

You can add as many layers as you want.

I used Chandelier over the clouds and Tide Pool  and Lipstick Pink on the bird.

I hope you try some Glimmer Glam! Go over to yourmemorieshere.com to get some at a good price. I'm sure Kristina can help you out if you are wanting to try a certain color too. :)

I will see you all back here next Thursday. Have a great day!

A Mini Album

Hi everyone.  Happy Wednesday.  I hope these first few days of spring have been good to you.  It has been pouring rain here the last few days, so I am sorry about the picture quality.  Sunlight just has not been available.

I found a cute little mini album at Michael's recently; spiral bound with kraft paper pages.  You know I just had to have it.

I covered it with a bit of burlap that I painted white and then inked. I added some of my favorite embellishments;  gorgeous new Vintage Trinkets by Marion Smith, tiny mini roses from Prima (one of my favorite embellishments) that I painted with some Tattered Angels Glimmer Mist, a larger Prima flower under my Prima chipboard and some Prima flourishes that I had cut up earlier .  I even accented my grungeboard with little bits of Prima e-line bling.

I attached some of the larger charms from the Vintage Trinkets to a chain I had also found at Michaels and then attached the chain to the spirals.

As usual, I have no idea what my plans are to fill this little book...I just had so much fun making it.   Hope you have some fun today.

Hugs.

Art for a Cause

Hi All! Hope your week is going well. It's Kristina here today with a piece of art and video to share.
Marion Smith (of A Piece of Craft) had a Ustream show asking fellow crafters to make a 4"x4"- 3 dimensional art piece in the style of vintage grunge-y and then send it to her so that she can place them all together in a collage of one (or more depending on the number of pieces she receives) large art piece to auction off for a very special charity called Reese's Rainbow. Reese's Rainbow provides assistance to special needs orphan adoption - you can read more about it HERE.
So my contribution is this tile:

It's not really a "tile" but a 4"x4" of chipboard covered in decorative paper. You can make one too if you want to donate it to Marion for her art collage.
And in case you wanted to know how I made mine here are the supply details along with a video I made while working on it (there is no speaking in the video since I sped it up for the sake of time - so you can mute it if you would rather not hear the music)

I used a K and company printed paper that I inked with Distress inks in Old Paper and Vintage Photo. I stamped the piece with the Prima 'chicken wire' Stamp and Stazon Timber Brown ink. The white wooden frame is Chatterbox and I inked it with Vintage Photo Distress ink. The Owl is a Tattered Angels Glimmer Chip that I colored with my art markers. The crystal flower vine is Prima and the little flowers are Prima velvet flowers leftover from a Live with Prima kit. The lace trim is also Prima and I sprayed it with Tattered Angels Vanilla Breeze Glimmer Mist.
I think that's all - but if you have any questions, please leave a comment.

Have a great day!

My Baby Girl

Good Evening! I hope you are all doing well. I am here to share a part of my latest project created with products from Your Memories Here Store

I am working on a mini album for some pictures from when Serenity, my daughter, was a baby. I have had all of these photos just sitting in a photo album looking plain for so long. I thought a small 6x6 album would be nice.

Today I am sharing the cover of the album along with four other pages of it created with various products found in the store.

This is the cover... I used some beautiful Prima papers for the entire album. It was from a 6x6 pad that I received in my Prima Winter CHA 2011 grab bag from YMH. That bag was FULL of goodies!  I also added a lovely Prima Flower and leaves from the grab bag as well. YMH has tons of other Prima products that would be great for making your own mini album.

These are the first two pages in the album, once again decorated with Prima papers and flowers. I also used some Tattered Angels Glimmer Mist to cover my pages and flowers. I love the glimmer! It's always nice to add some glitz to your projects!

Here are the third and fourth pages. I kept them simple, adding a few embellishments from Cosmo Cricket that I had on hand. YMH also sells some Cosmo Cricket kits for only $10!!! That's a steal!

I will be back next Monday to share the rest of this album. I am sorry that this post is so late, I would have posted it much earlier, had I not had to take my son to soccer practice and then have my camera battery die, so I could not upload my photos! Ahh!

Have a fabulous week!!

You & Me. Always. - Home Decor LO

This is one of my favorite photos...& I finally got around to scrapping it! It's a photo of when my hubby asked me to marry him on Christmas Eve 5 1/2 years ago. After being set up on a blind date by mutual friends, we had been dating a 1 1/2 years when he popped the question. He did so in front of both our families & it was so wonderful! As you can see in the pic, I instantly burst into tears before saying yes. His sister snapped the shot at the perfect time & this is one of my most treasured possessions. So with that in mind, I made sure to use lots of beautiful Prima flowers, lace, & bling from Your Memories Here for this wall hanging!

Supplies:
Patterned Paper/Title - Cosmo Cricket (hey sugar & circa 1934 collections)

And the Cosmo Cricket kit from YMH keeps on giving....the kit (which is just $10 & there are 2 to choose from!) is chock full of fabulous goodies that you can use on soooo many projects! I know there are just a few left in the YMH Store so visit HERE & grab one of your own before it's too late! I also used my Tattered Angels Glimmer Mist to dye the pretty Prima lace that sweet pink...I love how I can always use their product to make what I already have work for me! And, the YMH store is full of fun Tattered Angels products...you can check them out HERE!

Thanks so much for stopping by again & letting me share this personal (& photo heavy post...LOL!) LO with you. I can't wait to finish it up with some sweet journaling! I would love it if you would hop on over to the YMH Store & check out all of Kristina's wonderful products. Brand new to the store are some fab Helmar Adhesive products, too!!! And if you would like some more info. on my wall hanging/LO, you can check out my blog HERE...I would love it if you visited! Until next week, Happy Craftin'!

Altered Bird Cage

Happy Thursday and Happy St. Patty's Day too!

Today I have an embellished bird cage. I bought this bird cage at Michaels and it was super cute but I saw potential for PRIMA!  I added Prima felt, note card, flowers and lace!  I also used Wheatfields Glimmer mist over the whole thing.  I let it puddle on the feet and it's super grungy with a pretty sparkle. Love that!

I inked the edges of the note cards and the flowers. These flowers have the chunky glitter already on them. Love that too!
The Prima lace really added the final touch. I even sprayed it with glimmer mist too. I love how it looks like I've had if forever!

I hope you all have a fabulous day!

Happy Wednesday

I hope everyone is having a great week.  It is definitely spring here, and the weather, while still being occasionally rainy and overcast is getting warmer.  Spring makes me think of all the usual things; flowers, baby animals...and of course spring cleaning.  I am trying to get cleaned up and organized.

On my work table I always have bunches of photos that I have printed waiting to be scrapped.  So, when I found a huge clothes pin, I thought it would be perfect for holding my photos in progress.

I covered the clothes pin with some distressed scraps of Prima paper,  few Prima flowers and some scraps of Prima lace.  I don't know about you, but I hate throwing away those little scraps and small altered projects like this are the perfect solution.

Now, while my photos wait for me to find the time to play, they can be artfully displayed on my work table.

Thanks for stopping by.

Butterfly Canvas using Glimmer Mist and Prima

Edit: The images for this project have been removed because it is currently out for publication in the May issue of Scrapbooking.com Magazine.

Good Morning! I hope you are all doing well this Monday morning. I am enjoying my cup of coffee and relaxing as I type this. :)

I created this butterfly canvas this past week using lots of products you can find in the Your Memories Here store. This canvas is full of Prima and Tattered Angels goodies!

I covered the canvas in Glimmer Mist in various shades of blues and greens. Sassafrass Lass and Bad Girls Stamps were used on the canvas after the mist dried. I covered Grungeboard butterflies with Prima papers and inked the edges. The bodies of the butterflies were done in jewels using my I-Rock tool. I also inked the edges of each one as well. I used several other Prima crystal items as well as other embellishments by Prima that are carried by Your Memories Here. And of course I have Prima flowers as well!

I have some close ups of the project below....

I hope that I have given you some inspiration this Monday morning! Enjoy your day, and I will see you next week!
