Happy Birthday Card....Your Memories Here

Hi everyone and Happy Friday!!! Sandi here today to share a Birthday card I made using MME Wild Asparagus collection.  It is a dark, rainy day here so I apologize for the poor pictures. Many of the goodies I used can be found in The Your Memories Here Store. The flower and leaves are from Prima.
I coated the butterfly in Antique Linen Stickles, I created one of the background papers using a Tattered Angels Stencil and Plum Glimmer Mist and used the same color to dye the seam binding.
So be sure to check out the store for all your scrappy needs and I would love for you to visit my blog. Hope you have a happy, scrappy weekend!

I love my distress inks. One of my favorite ways to use them is sponging them onto cardstock to give it an aged look. They also work really well to color cardstock too. The thin darker brown cardstock strips are a perfect example of that. I used kraft cardstock as the base and then layered one Vintage Photo, Antique Linen, and a touch of Walnut Stain. It really gave the c/s a leather look to it; perfect for a western layout. Another use of Distress Inks is to color plain chipboard. The color goes on so smoothly and by layering them it added shadows and highlights with ease. Be sure you check out YMH for their Distress Ink collection, including the newest limited edition fall colors.

Getting Spooky

Hi everyone, Nancy here to share a fun little tag I made using my new Tim Holtz Limited Edition Distress Inks.
As I am sure you know, there has been a lot of drama with these inks....could you get them? where could you get them? does anyone have them still? I have mine, and you can get yours at Your Memories Here.  They are a great price, only $14.99.

Once I had these gorgeous inks in my hands, you know I could not resist jumping right in. And for me that meant a fun tag.
Tattered Angels tag, Tim Holtz Distress Inks, stamps, tissue tape, ink embossing powder, Prima Marketing flowers,  Ranger stickles, Recollection chipboard
I used all three colors on this tag, making an ombre design on both the tag itself and the tissue tape. I blended the ripe persimmon into the seedless preserves and accented the edges of the tag with the gathered twig. I added a bit of Black Diamond stickles along the bottom edge design.....
threw in  a few layered Prima flowers that I accented with more stickles; and stamped and embossed a few spooky designs.

Finally, I ran my seam binding across the seedless preserves ink to dye it the perfect matching shade.
I am working on some fall home decor projects and know exactly where this tag will be fitting in.

Thanks for stopping by.

Spending Time Together

Good Monday to you ladies and because its a Monday, Its my time to share a little project that I have created using some lovely Prima papers flowers stickles and Tim Holtz distress inks..
As you notice this layout does not have a photo just yet, I have big plans for this project..LOL  I am trying to find the perfect photo of my husband and I while we were away this summer spending some much needed time with family and friends that live across the sea.. We had such a great time..
but before I blab your ears off, lets get to the layout shall we..
I absolutely adore these Prima papers with the border print.. Its so easy to make it look pretty without having to cut your own border papers.. I found some Prima flowers (roses) and some of my own leaves in my stash, Plus I added some white ribbon and diamond Stickles to the big white rose and the butterflies.

The large circle and the heart I cut with my Cricut Imagine
As for the title, I found a cute phrase sticker in my stash and stuck it down to white cardstock, inked the edges with distress ink and then stuck it down to the layout using Zapdots foam adhesives..then punched some butterflies and glued them down , adding some diamond Stickles to the centers of the butterflies..

This layout was quickly and easily created with lots of helpful items that you can find at Your Memories Here store.. Just click on the highlighted items and it will take you directly to the supplies used..
Thank you all so much for stopping by today and hope everyone has a wonderfully creative week..
Hugs :)

Arty Sunday!

Good Afternoon Bloggers!

I hope this post finds everyone well and happily playing in their craft spaces. I have been playing in my space over the last few days while I finally caved and fell into the SHE Art craze. I have loved watching others make these beautiful pieces of art and I always regard them as a gorgeous way to a piece representing yourself...sort of like a mixed media version of a Book Of Me page (BOM). So I decided to give it a whirl...a huge thanks to the wonderful Christy Tomlinson for her wonderful instructions...but it was time to dive right on in!
Canvas work is so much fun and the textures can be so different to cardstock. The tissue paper in the background with the world map on it I was very fortunate to get when I ordered a pair of shoes from back home in Australia! So I naturally kept it for crafting purposes lol.
I used some of the papers from the Pastiche collection of papers over at Your Memories Here. I love the versatility of the Prima papers....they cover just about every theme!

The products I have used on this project are as follows:

From the Your Memories Here Store:

Prima Paper
Prima Lace Trim
Tim Holtz Limited Edition Inks
Prima Stamps
Prima Pearls
Helmar Fast Dry

From My Stash:

Tissue paper from a pair of shoes that shipped from Australia.
Thickers Alphas
Jenni Bowlin Alphas
Tim Holtz Bingo Tile
Felt
Ribbon
Flower Pin
Rub Ons
Paints.
Twig from a Wreath for Hair Curl.

I hope you all have a wonderful week...until next Sunday...

You're so Sweet

Good Morning....Sandi here today sharing a layout with goodies from the Your Memories Here Store. I was inspired to do this layout after seeing this  quilt in a Sears Catalog and the Sketch at Once Upon a Sketch.

It didn't really turn out the way I envisioned it would and was one of those layouts that sapped all my mojo....just glad it's finished. The papers are from some old My Minds Eye Wild Asparagus line. I cut 2" squares using 3 different papers and just glued to a piece of cardstock using Helmar Glue. The Ric rak is made from paper and you can make it using this Martha Stewart Punch
Just punch a strip and then cut along the top
And then cut again
Each strip will give you 2 pieces of ricrak in 2 sizes
I also made the bling using Ranger Dimensional Pearls in expresso...you can find the tutorial on my blog. I did some inking with Distress Inks in Old Paper and added Stickles to the letters. I hand sewed the word "sew" by first writing the word on a piece of paper, laid it where I wanted the word to be and just pierced holes following the script.

I also stamped the photo frame using Tattered Angels Architectural Trim Clear Stamps.
The quote on the photo is a 7 Gypsies rubon that says" The best things in life aren't things". I then pleated some brown satin ribbon, added some Prima lace and a few dollops of pink liquid pearls...voila...finally completed after 3 trys of adding and then tearing off and adding again. Be sure to visit the store for all your scrapping supplies and I would love it if you visited my blog. That's it for me until next Friday...have a great weekend!
